Aaron Woods

Would be very happy if we got him for 3 years with the bulldogs paying a fair chunk of that salary each year.
 
Happy if we got him and we pay all of the salary. Be great if we got him discounted, but if not we need him.

We are kidding ourselves if we don't sign players of Woods ability, as long as we have players such as Lillyman, Heighinton, King, Yates, Barnett, Buhrer, being considered for 1sts we won't have a top side, even the Saf boys need to get there act together to be selected in 17 or we are just a side filling in the bottom half, and don't get me started on the back 7, except for Pearce of course
 
Think the guy is a pillow but may as well sign him, our pack is already shyte enough and makes me want to stick pins in my eyes every week so whatever.
 
Sign him up $650,000 for the next 3 years with the Dogs chipping in $100,000 yes please , Although I would pay the whole contract to get him here …
He is better than any 2 forwards we have except maybe Ese,ese and he hasn't really proven anything yet ..
This guy makes the Twins , King , Yates , Barnett and the rest look like Amateurs but of course on this forum he is not good enough for us …
Just like Matt Pryor was not good enough for us but he has been the starting front rower for the Sharks ever since and they **** on us and he was on 1/2 what woods was but most on here were very negative toward him probably the same ones whinging about our current forwards that they rathered over Pryor lol
Get Woods here ASAP now if possible and our forward pack will look much better straight away and then try and get Klemmer as well ..
 
Im sorry I generally like to take the view that people have different views and I can see the merit to most views even if I don't agree with them .....

BUT anyone who thinks we shouldn't have a crack at Woods or thinks he isn't a good player doesn't have a clue or just doesn't like him for some reason. The guy carried the Tigers pack for years by himself, has a ton of rep experience and is easily better than any forward we have.

Please name me 1 forward we have that's in the same conversation as Woods???

Woods is currently the guy everyone wants to lay the boot into because he ditched the Tigers for Big money at the Dogs, the media and fans seem to find a guy and for any reason apart from his footballing ability start to hammer him and say he's no good. Cordner is now becoming that guy.

If we can get a 27 year old Aaron Woods for 3 or 4 or even a 5 year deal where the Dogs pay a portion of his deal for the first 3 it would be as good as the Pearce deal IMO.

People were happy to Ah Mau for 500K ( reportedly ) but wouldn't want Woods for 100 or 200 more????

I personally think he would rather stay in Sydney and also think the Roosters, Eels, Raiders and Sharks will be going hard for him if he is in fact for sale

Not sure if we have cap room for both TBH, Toohey said we're 1M under the cap and have upgraded Heighno or Lillyman for Glasby so I'd say we couldn't fit both in

1m this year.
Good chance we are paying 500k to players this year to make our cap space bigger next year.
Lillyman and Heighington money would cover glasby.
Sione 450k ish will be half next year.
Hodko off the books also.
We would have well over 1.5mil available imo for 2019
I think the cap goes up a bit more to next year, so could be close to 2mil available by the time it comes to buying for next year.
