Korbin Sims Soccer Mom?

Yeah Yeah Beaumont alongside Charlie the Chook that one mate!

Korbs started well and faded after the first fifteen minutes and did not do much in Golden Point when the forwards needed to get Milford in position for a field goal.

The big question is .. what colour hair stiyle next week? He went from the 'Soccer Mom Blonde' to a 'Red Setter Rats Tails' last night.

If he passed the ball earlier then he did after that break he made in golden point the Broncos get a try in the corner but he butchered it which is no surprise really.

The funniest part of all is knowing that Korbin won't improve, as the Broncos supporters no doubt expect him to. This is him. All potential, no results. All image, no substance.

He is good for a solid hit and solid run each game, but won't be around for the try saver in the 80th minute. He is an average FG'r and always will be

I reckon Starling's provided more than Korbin for a fraction of the cash.
Heaps more. And this is exactly what we've been missing for 10 years, gritty, intelligent forwards who go out of their way to do the small things right.

Starling is everything Sims is not.

And it's something that Brown seems to have a nose for, which bodes well for future player recruitment and team selection. These are makings of a successful club

Bennett tried to sign mataora when he left the knights and he stayed loyal. He looked very sluggish yesterday in NSW cup. Being an old mate of korbs from his gerringong days he is a really good bloke unfortunately think all thats happened to the knights in the last few years had taken its toll different people react differently i think Gags is a prime example his a fighter and korbs isn't simple as that.

And thats why he is an average player. Most successful people in life are fighters, people who bust a gut to succeed. Unless your a freak or extremely lucky life doesnt just give you anything you have to earn it. Sims is certainly no freak and so long as he remains a non fighter then bog average he shall remain.

He controlled the middle of the ruck slots whilst on. Twenty three tackles for just one miss.

Last year we whinged and whined about never controlling the centre of the ruck watching opps carve us up the middle as Korbs and others were not stopping them. Starling was bought into the side to help stop that gap.

you blokes getting pretty excited over starling and his 70 metres a game. good defender though
He's no super hero and he'll never get near a rep team. But that's not point. The point is that he has qualities that we have sorely missed for a long time. And despite how average his numbers are, he nonetheless manages to be of immense value to our team, which is precisely the point we are making

And I gotta say. I called this. I said from the start that he would be very good for us. And all I got was ridicule from 88, left foot and a few other serial detractors, who reveal themselves to lack insight and knowledge about the game.

It's pretty easy to assume Josh Starling would be average. But clearly they hadn't watched him play, otherwise they would have known what I knew, that he is a very handy footballer

Jayden Butterfield is a very similar style of player to Starling.
If he gets a firstgrade pre season next year he'll be very close to the same Standard too.

Cool story princess,

Since i live on the northen beaches and go to at least5 games at brooky a yr id say ive seen him play more then most knights fans.

Atm his the flavor of the month for some fans but his still no world beater... at 85k his a bargin buy no doubt there.

Put it this way until that sos from brown he wasnt playing nrl cup or sl in 2017...

No his chit and still is, his just the second best starting prop the knights have right now.

He was let go in 2016 and had not 1 call of interest in 4mths till Brown.. his good enough for 85k but his nothing to write home about.

Heck u have banged on about korbs being garbage and yet his numbers are better so that make starling just as poor no matter how much he cost.

Haha wait wait, you're confusing everyone. So according to you he's "chit", but you then admit that he is a very valuable member of our pack? Our "second best"

Everyone on here agrees that he is better for us than Korbin, and esspecially better on a dollar to dollar value. He's a handy footballer and a valuable member of our team. End of story. Footy isn't all about simple stats mate, you know that, so stop appealing to simple stats for the convenience of your ever changing arguements

Throw in towel mate, this is boring the forum

When it comes to effort, passion & commitment (which is what we have to rely on now) Starling much better for us than Korbin. Not great but better for mine

On equal money I'd take Korbin over Starling. Easily.
Sorry I wrote that incorrectly

I meant like, Starling being better value for money at a third of the price

But even at dollar for dollar I'd probably stoll take Starling. At some point we've got to admit to ourselves that Korbins net contributions to each game aren't what they should be, after we account for the couple of errors, penalties and poor control of the ruck. This is why Starling is a good player, because he understands that it is the subtle game that really counts--the net result, not the gross numbers
