Joseph Leilua released by the Knights

Ah well, he wants to leave, what can you do. Can only think Canberra are offering him big money as he didn't really seem like a Bennett's boy that would leave the moment Bennett left. Happy that we get to give Mamo & Sione a chance.
 
Happy we'll have some money free'd up for more important positions but I don't have much faith in the club to sign anyone.
 
If he wants to leave drop him now, gagai sione centres and start developing mamo at fullback now? Don't see the point of hindering mamo by giving Joey minutes if his mind is elsewhere
 
Yeah would make saense to drop him, give mamo fullback, sione center and gids half, mullen have surgery and forget this year move onto next, blood some young kids, cop a few hidings but put us in good stead for next year
 
His effort last week was definitely questionable. If he has another one of those performances again then his mind is clearly somewhere else and you'd have to drop him.

That would be the worst possible move for him.
Ricky won't hesitate to sack him if he pulls his lazy training thing down there.
Ricky has sacked much bigger names than him just because he doesn't like the cut of their jib.
We got him because the Roosters didn't like his attitude, and he is leaving because Stone doesn't like his attitude, so I give him 3 months under Ricky.

Stone don't like his attitude ? Stone publicly criticizes the bloke's weight and fitness when coning back from a break which is fair enough. Fair enough if you're going to publicly criticize blokes like Roberts who's been playing like a busted blurter week in and out. I really question whether Stone has the respect of all the players. He certainly is well on the way to losing mine.

To be fair leuila has been lazy this year and made almost as many errors as Roberts
 
Dunno about all of you but given the choice of gagai or Joey id take Joey everytime, makes huge metres every time he touches it. Makes some bad choices in defense but he can actually tackle people.... Gagai is extremely overrated in my opinion

That's not the point. It appears to me Stone has favorites. Not afraid to move Mason on. Not afraid to humiliate Leilua publicly. Is however prepared to cop large doses of mediocrity from others.

His favourites are the ones he thinks are trying their hardest.
He loves Randell, who will play any position on the field and die trying to get the job done. He'd have a go if we asked him to play prop this week.
 
Well Sione in for BJL for the rest of the year and BJL off the bench in NSW cup.

Otherwise Stone is a laughing stock.
