Woman says Ben Te'o assaulted her

The fact that Ben Te'o was the one who called the police to have this woman removed from the house speaks volumes imo....

Mate, if only you knew how much news television gets me going haha. The only thing that we can do to show them how pathetic they are, is not to have it playing on your TV set so they don't get the pleasure of your rating. I strongly advise this.

A current affair makes me sick in my mouth, it supports trashy people, targets big name companies, and rips on our emergency service workers at any given chance. Oh and the annual "Investigation" that discovers the cure to arthritis, back pain and cancer.

What ****es me off is they don't care what they do to people's reputations as long as they get the ratings....

What a joke this has become, many clubs and players names were getting dragged through the dirt and for what? Another attention seeking *****. This is exactly why Boyd doesn't talk to the media. Positive though, we have nothing to worry about. Boyd left as soon as there was a scene. The end.

Yes they ran the story. Her version of events were that she went back to Normans house and was sitting on the bed with Corey and Boyd when Teo walked in and she hit him with her shoe in hand, he then punched her in face.

She said she remembers Boyd saying 'stop' to Teo as he was beating into her but then she claims to have lost consciousness.

Norman called 000 and she went to police station but did not want to press charges.

Teo says he was called to the house as she was carrying on and was trying to attack and he restrained her and dealt with it in an appropriate manner.

Boyds wife Kayla has made a comment saying she was aware of it and was not worried, and did not wish to comment further.

In my opinion... I believe this is a case of a girl knowing who they were and Norman trying to get her to leave, calling Teo and the rest is unknown.

The girl reportedly was with Boyd though, as it says in SMH Teo and Norman were in a seperate taxi.

All we want is a straight answer from Ben Te'o

TELL us the truth, Ben. The rugby league world needs to know. It's a simple question.

Did you hit the girl?Yesterday you said you "refute entirely a suggestion you acted improperly".It's a skilful piece of word play but it's not enough.Your defence that you deny "acting improperly" is one of those deftly crafted sentences.Katie Lewis had a fractured eye socket. So we ask again. Did you hit Katie Lewis?A simple yes or no is all it needs. If the answer is yes, you cannot be chosen in next week's Origin side. It really is that simple. It's hard to believe a head selector with the moral compass of Des Morris could contemplate selecting Te'o if even a portion of this story is correct.Broncos chief executive Paul White has been criticised for letting Te'o go to Souths but as a former country detective, White has a nose for trouble. His reasoning is becoming clearer by the hour and the decision to concentrate on retaining Matt Gillett ahead of Te'o can now be vindicated. The only certainty in cases between the irrepressible boys club that is rugby league officialdom versus a girl is the girl never wins.

The standard plot is that a night that went wrong is followed by an emotional allegation of misconduct. Then comes the discrediting of the girl, the withdrawal of the charge, and everyone goes home miserable. It takes enormous courage for a young woman to progress with a complaint against a footballer. Very few are up for the fight because even if you win, you lose, such is the acute stress of the journey. For most young girls, the thought of facing a battalion of cameras upon arriving in court is too much to bear.Already this tale has a cringing theme to it.Just the fact that Souths failed to tell the NRL for a month is bad enough. Then we had Souths revealing that "we asked Ben whether he wanted to stand down" but he decided not to.How courageous of him.The NRL had its Women in League round last week but the true message should be "we value your support, until such time as you threaten to tarnish our image then you become collateral damage".The NRL developed a sexual ethics policy in 2004 and has put thousands of players through its "Playing By The Rules" workshop. Many don't.

Brisbane Broncos clear Corey Norman of wrongdoing in Ben Te'o allegation

BRONCOS boss Paul White last night said the club had cleared Corey Norman of any wrongdoing in the Ben Te'o assault allegations that have rocked the NRL.

Brisbane woman Katie Lewis, 22, claims she was left abandoned with a fractured eye socket after being punched repeatedly by Te'o in the early hours of Sunday, April 21.The alleged incident occurred at Norman's home in Ashgrove, where Te'o also lived last year during his tenure at the Broncos before his off-season move to South Sydney.Norman's mobile phone was used to make a 000 call to police.

It is believed Norman raised the alarm, although Te'o claimed in a statement yesterday he was the person who used the phone. The Broncos conducted an investigation and said last night Norman had co-operated fully with Queensland police.

The Newcastle Knights yesterday said they had undertaken to fully co-operate with any NRL integrity unit investigation into Darius Boyd's role in the situation."The Knights have not been formally advised of any complaint or allegation in relation to the alleged incident," the club said in a statement.

At the end of the day she's got a black eye so the question has definitely got to be asked.

And that's the biggest question left....How did that woman get a black eye ???

I'm really not sure whether Te'o did it or not but one things for sure he will have alot of questions to answer... Better to reserve judgement until this investigation is completed

Boyd and Norman have nothing to answer for as far as I can see...

She withdrew a formal complaint of assault. you do this when you couldn't be assed going to court, providing a written statement to police, it's ridiculous. She threw a shoe at the guy, where is her credibility? If this matter was even semi serious we would of known about this immediately after the incident, we aren't talking about closed doors here.

I wish they'd take Boyd's picture and name out of the paper, it's being plastered everywhere as if he had something to do with it. Let Te'o deal with it.

I just don't think it's fair that his face is getting put up next to the guy who allegedly bashed a woman. So what if he was there, he had nothing to do with what happened to her.

I'm actually shocked that a situation where a young lady obviously of easy virtue going home with 4 footballers has led to a situation involving the media. Hard to believe really.

But how do you know? Whilst she said all Darius did was tell him to stop, he would obviously know what went on whether she's lying or not.

I'm just saying, he is still linked in the saga, because he was there! You can't just remove him from the story because he was there but did nothing wrong from a media point of view.

She withdrew a formal complaint!!, she went into a police station, signed a withdrawal of complaint, decides to go on TV an play victim?

If the matter was still outstanding than fair enough. She is not willing to provide a written statement or give evidence in court.

does that not say anything about her?
