Hilder regularly tops the tackle count and is an ok hooker enough to get by until Bedsy gets back.

Ciraldo, Tolar, Dureau and Rogers copped it a lot worse a few years ago than what Costigan does now.

It started mainly from him making crucial errors in matches. Most weeks he was solid and done his job and people weren't too bothered last year because there wasn't really anyone to bring in. He continued being solid but not offering a lot and I think people were just looking forward to seeing Sims get a run.

Re Costigan and Hilder... I just think the game develops and it's got a lot to do with size these days. These guys used to be efficient a few years ago but not anymore.

Go take a look at the Bulldogs game last year where Hilder was hooked. One on one tackle Hilder on Casiano forcing ball loose. Plenty of opportunities for Hilder just not under Bennet. He should seek a release before the deadline. I would cop Hilder missing out if Waddell added something but he's got nothing.
 
Canberra are too inconsistent. A good match to a horrible knock on day with defence lapses. We can beat them!! CMON THE NEWCASTLE!! UP THE KNIGHTS!
 
Well I think our MOTM will be Waddell.
He is fully fit now.
He will have the main hooker role all to himself.
He gets to take a shot at the team that dropped him on the ground he has played the most football on.
If the guy has a great performance in him, this is his week.
 
Billy - I'll have a lotto ticket with you that he doesn't. From what I've seen it would require major surgery to extract a great performance out of him. I can see why they wouldn't retain him.
 
If the Dragons beat the Titans and we win we create a 4 point gap between us and 6th place !!

If we lose the Titans would have to win by 40+ to take 5th spot of us the Raiders would have to win by around 90 lol to go into 5th spot...so even if we lose we should keep 5th spot
 
Sims & Clydsdale in confirmed with Costigan & Hilder out. Gotta feel sorry for Hilder, time for Sims to be named in #15 & Costigan in the #18 now.
