Official: Dane Gagai signs with Knights effective immediately until end of 2014

Hmmm...sounds like only a couple of those quotes you've collated discredit Gagai's skill....not 11.

Checked the mirror lately?

Nobody he quoted was keen on Gagai coming to the club ... I think that was the point.

I was happy to give Gagai a go, although I hadn't seen him play before. I trusted Bennett's judgement and anyone was worth a shot if they could provide Uate with a few more opportunities.

But I've been wrong before too - on Mason this year and Southern last year. We all get it wrong from time to time. However that was a spectacular fail from most people on Gagai!

I was convinced. A lot of Broncos fans I know moaned when he got sacked. Only means a good thing, considering Broncos fans, arrogant people they are. To see him with the ball a few times, I was convinced.

He's got the goods for a huge career. Next to Uate? Mother-fuuuu!

Though in my previous post I said 'meh' on Gagai. Man I must have been in a s**ty mood then.

So glad we have him, we have probably the most explosive right side Centre-Wing pairing in the competition with those two! He creates so much oppurtunity for others around him too with electrifying speed and acceleration.

The problem is, will he follow Wayne after he leaves? Wayne gave him his chance to shine in FG. It'll also depend on how good him & Uate become together, if they become legendary like, it might keep Gagai here. Gagai is exactly the centre that Uate & all of us have been waiting for, young & as good as MacDougall.

Why would he follow Bennett when Bennett leaves here, when he didn't follow him when he left the Broncos?

That's if Bennett doesn't retire when he leaves here anyway.

Totally pointless worry about it, it's years away anyway.

I don't reckon Bennett will retire when he finishes here. I could look happy for a million a year too but he seems to genuinely like the place.

I would dress in a bikini and allow Tinkler to spank me with pots and pans every night for a cool million a year.

See the resemblance? Tinks is hungry for some bikini boy action.

Not as spectacular as those who thought Bennett can't coach...

Enjoy boys :)

Now I love Gaigai and all, but this is only two confrontations and Matai is one of the most overrated centers. He's good for big hits, but his slide defence and attack is pretty mediocre for a guy that size. He's not a bad center, he's just nothing special.

Oh I love him. Best footwork at the Knights I've seen by a fair margin. Also has a great sense of when to offload and pass, which is rare from a (ex) winger.

Aku has got some great footwork. Only problem is he takes the option of running over the top of people 9 times out of 10.
