We don't know that that's the case though. Laurie in particular has spent a few weeks out through injury.
 
I think Lima would be a good fit, probably off the bench with Fa'aoso, now there would be some impact.

In saying that I have faith that Snowden, Cuthbertson, Fa'aoso and Edwards/Costigan are good enough to man the front-row rotation. Once Snowden is back to his best, I think everyone will be pleasently surprised how well our forwards will go and having a mobile pack with some ball-playing ability is a bonus.
 
I cbf searching to see if someone mentioned it but there aren't any quotes from Bennett in that article, so keep that in mind.
 
We need a big bopper that will make consistent metres for us.

Jeff Lima would be a very handy player for us. We will be relying pretty heavily on Fa'aoso and Snowden to perform and tbh, both can be inconsistent. Lima is not.

Korbin Sims is also pretty close to FG if he keeps his form up. He's pretty big

We'd have to release someone first, not just because of the salary cap but what's the point in signing Lima when we have several other guys waiting in the wings. If we arent going to play Laurie, Tui, Anderson, Sims, O'Donnell, Rochow etc then let them get rid of them and free up more money to sign someone better than Lima.

Saying that, wouldn't mind if Tui went back to NZ and we signed Lima
 
What about Tets? thought he was good last year. We also have Sims.

I never thought our SQUAD was too small, just the bench from game one was small.

Dunno what Wayne is planning, but i hope our juniors got a go before heading for imports.

That is what I was thinking, if we can get Lima (great buy) for Tui, who in my opinion should be in the 17. We would be in a great position size wise.

But do we need any more players after one round? We really need to settle on a squad at least until the end of the season.
 
Lima would be a very ordinary buy in my opinion, The knights should be doing everything in there power to sign off contract Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.

I take that back, that was a big statement. I would rather play with 16 players. I'm obviously not a fan of the guy mate. We all have a player or two we dislike.

Understandable. He's yet to really walk the walk on the field. Monday night was one of his better games though, so maybe he's getting there.

I wouldn't really think he'd be on our radar at all, though.
 
My thinking towards it is, it will take Bennett around 2 seasons to get the side he wants. Off contracted players for this season include Fa'aoso, Taia, Edwards and Tuimavave.

Tuimavave might head back to NZ if he cant crack into the side and impress Bennett. Fa'aoso should be re-signed but stranger things have happened. Same thing for Edwards.

Taia is a tough one with the signing of Scott, he has been given the first shot at the 12 and never did it justice last week. Maybe the signing of Scott will fire him up.

Other players off are Buderus who will be re-signed if he has a good season and the body is up to it.

Likiliki and KOD likely to depart. Kev Naiqama been a favourite of Wayne's - might be re-signed.
 
I don't think we need to sign Lima, or any other props. I think we can give the current squad a bit of time and they'll be fine. Just because we can bring players in from other clubs doesn't mean we have to.

Ha Ha Ha, Not yet walked the walk i assume your joking James good one , played 10 times for his country, played in last years grandfinal and throw an all stars match in there.

I dont think he is on our radar, just wish he was.

I think we have competitive forward pack with good young depth .. we should be looking at signing a decent hooker to replace bedsy .. Not havn a go at hilder but IMO he is not a starter.
