Uhhh we need a hooker!? Gidley & Hilder are our only real options next year so far & neither of them are actual hookers & neither would be up to the 80 minutes there. Ofcourse we could have the Gids halves-Stig comes on-Gids to hooker rotation but that isn't ideal & Hilder at hooker even at the start isn't ideal. I like Gids at hooker, don't get me wrong but we need atleast 1 specialist. Adams, Marlborough, Redman, Knight & Clydesdale are young guys that could fill the position but at this point it doesn't look likely. I'd be happy to have Adams or Marlborough as our specialist & forget Buderus, Watts, Friend etc. but again, at this point it looks unlikely.

You should stop whinging anyway, Buderus & Friend are still possibilities, Buderus a big one.
 
Wesser has said he can play on for another season, but it won't be at the Bunnies. That's one player I'm 99% sure won't be linked to the Knights heh
Regarding Watts, they were talking to Artie on the Game Plan when all the Carney stuff was going down and he mentioned they had bought him back home (which I wasn't aware that he left in the first place), and he seemed to really rate Watts. The same guy who saw massive potential in Snowden and Pearce. Of course the other part is up to the indivudual and what he does with himself.
Anyway I think he went to the Cowboys at the wrong time, when Willie the bad influence was around, and it seems he has bought that down with him from the Roosters.

Watts was at the Cowboys for 3 years (2008-10), Willie was only there 1 year (2010), so i doubt Willie had much influence on him. Watts is just a young irresponsible player that needs help & Wayne might be the guy.

I cannot believe the Roosters don't want him, he plays just like Bedsy, just younger.

Super poor negotiations. Cross was woeful in Super 15 this year, didn't pass and let the man get on the outside in defense. If he plays center he is always going to let the man get around him. He's so slow now. He'll play a very Sau like game I'd imagine, but the Waratahs games I've seen him play he's been less than impressive.
 
anyone know if newcastle are in discusions with con mika because he is pretty good and has had limited game time? also any one have the latest on bedsy and bird? and also if wayne bennet thought he could of made watts a good player he would of signed him already!!

anyone hear that andrew ryan may sign with the tigers!
 
He has been average because he has only had 2 games in the knights squad and frankly i think if he can find form like in 2009 he will be fantastic. Also wayne bennet has the talent of being able to bring out the best in footballers for example Michael Weyman, Neville Costigan, Darius Boyd, Jon Green, Alex Mckinnon and Trent Merrin who were all nobodies before Bennet toke them in and reformed them into the fantastic footballers that they are today

I understand but looking at how the Roosters went right after Willie left, and then how the Cowboys went the year he came, it doesn't take a lot of time for his influence to kick in.
Watts if I am not mistaken never got into trouble before Willie came to the Cowboys and other then the drug prescription incident, Friend hasn't gotten into trouble since almost being sacked (when Willie was at the Roosters)
I am not for Watts coming (based on our cap position), but with the right coaching and attention he could become a good player.
