The Brian Smith Appreciation Thread

13 in a row, in 2005. Johns did miss a fair few games through injury again.
It was the year he played his last SoO series, and dominated that game in Sydney and got MoM. I was there ;)
That season turned out Ok were the form side in the last 2 months of the comp and if we didn't have such a shocking start really were a chance of going pretty far

Yeah our form in the back half of the season was great. We almost avoided the spoon because of it, but Souths had some good form too and just managed to hold us off.

Joey was there for the first 6 games though, although he was coming off a knee reco. Also im pretty sure we were missing buderus to in the early stages of 05.

We were, he had off-season surgery.

He came back in the horrible round 6 match against the Warriors that Johns broke his jaw in.

Where is the appreciation now. Goooooooooooooone. He was good for the club in the short term, but not as a long term asset. See you later Brian Smith.

Stop playing games with yourself Brian.

Who will be our coach in 2010?

You gotta be kidding, so much improvement between 2007 and 2008 ... if we continue improving at this rate we will be challenging for the comp in 2010!

It was just one bad game, after 20 great ones.

Your kidding me. Its not the fact that we had one bad game. I know we have improved, and I think Brian has done some good things for the club.

BUT there is an underlying issue. That is the games he plays. Yesterday, we were beat even before we took the field. How can you be so dumb as to name 3 players who have not played in months. We made 3 interchanges in the first 15 minutes. Disgraceful. Why drop Scott D. He did nothing wrong. He has been in good form. He bought Karawana in and he did **** all. He does it week in week out. THe other major problem was no. 24. Danny "pies" Wicks. Seriously how is he a first grader. He is a disgrace to props. Don't get me started with Wicks.

Why is everyone here so pro BS? What has he done, that a different coach can't do? The majority of players hate him, and he will never swallow his pride and admit anything is his fault. He is not good in the long term.

I agree he shouldn't have brought back Wicks and either Cross or Royal all in the same week, but he's the coach and he knows more than what we do. Obviously it didn't work this week, but he's improved not just the Knights as a team but also the Club as a whole. Definitely earns my respect.

My prof. was asking me about the Knights today and how they were doing and he just happened to say to me, BS 500 games without a...its too embarassing to say isnt it? and i was like, yeh i guess so.

It doesn't take a genius to figure that having 3 players that haven't played in a long time is a stupid idea. There was no reason to drop White, Ciraldo, and Dureau. What coach in their right mind would persist with Wicks?

You should've mentioned the fact that he's survived 500 games in the top grade. There aren't too many other names who have achieved that.
