2018 Harold Matts and SG Ball

Mats could have been much better, but after we were up 40-4 at halftime the ref did his best to give Central Coast every decision, which was actually good because we got to practice our defence against the plodders. Kodi Crowther played on the right instead of the left, but since our only quality playmaking is Noah Ryan on the left, that's where most of the tries were scored again.

In ball the 3 tries to Bradman Best are must watches on the highlights reel. The first one he seemed to be covered by his opposite number and just did a little step and flashed past the guy and was streaking away. The fullback thought he had him covered, but Best just did another little step, put on the after burners and blew past him like he was standing still. The second try was after the halftime siren had sounded - several players had had a crack at the line and offloaded till finally one offloaded to Best who crashed through 3 defenders from 5 or 6 out and ended up 6 feet over the line before he put it down. The third try he scored from fullback, where he played in the second half. He called for the ball on the 6th tackle and he stepped through the line with a neat little sidestep through a gap that didn't look like it was there. He raced away the 60 to score - a cover defender thought he had a chance, but turns out Best was in 4th gear and burned him off when he got close. Roosters were undefeated before this game but we blew them off the park from the kickoff. Crossland was great in the first half but didn't play the second half - mostly because we didn't need him I think. Young Ogre O'Meley looks just like his Dad. Head grows straight out of his Shoulders. Best has got a Forrest Gump haircut, and it's hard not to yell "run Forrest run" when he gets in the clear.

In Flegg, Wests looked to be giving us a decent game till about halfway through the second half. Starling was outstanding, and Matt Croker was fantastic in his first game back. Lowrie really has them playing Smart football - Starling, Dark, Croker, Birch, Cooper and Huth are all really clever guys who just out thought a big, athletic Wests side.
Central Coast Rooster are way down the table. They have only won 2 games. Knights haven't play the undefeated Sydney Roosters yet.

Matts about to start.
Jonah Pezet is out and fullback Logan Radzievic has moved to halfback.
I don't think we'll lose anything by that. Noah Ryan is our main playmaker and Logan Radzievic is one of our best ball runners - similar to Pezet really.

8-0 to the Knights after 6 minutes.
We need about a 40 point win to get back to the top of the table.

24-0 Logan Radzievic scores the try and kicks his second goal on 30 minutes - that should be halftime.

we need to win the second half by 14 points to go to the top of the table.
Kodi Crowther needs 1 more try to get back to top of the try scoring list.

In Ball we seem to be 1-17 as named - which is getting close to our strongest lineup, although I think Crossland is playing with a shoulder injury and he is probably our best player.

4-0 to Knights - Timanu Alexander scored on 3 minutes.
Timanu and Bradman in the centres is like we have 4 rampaging second rowers.
