Your team V Warriors

Reserve grade stats are in.
No one stood out, but we were flogged and only had 42% possession to 58% for Manly.
I suppose it's positive that the young forwards were the best of a bad bunch. Oryn Keeley topped the tackle count with 37, Tom Cant topped the fantasy points with 47 and Dylan Lucas played 80 minutes at second row but only ran for 79 metres and made 22 tackles with 0 missed in 80. Hodgson only ran for 139 metres, but as said earlier, we only had 42% possession.
Simi Sasagi had 10 runs for 120 metres but made 16 tackles with only 66% tackle efficiency and 4 errors, so they tested him out and he was probably found short of match fitness. He did top the post contact metres with 58, but only 22 fantasy points due to his poor tackling and errors.
In short, no one put their hand up for firstgrade.

I suppose if we need a forward to replace Croker, Tom Cant with 80 minutes at lock, 99 run metres, 36 tackles with 1 missed and 47 fantasy points is the obvious choice on that game.

We don’t get much out of Hetherington, getting small minutes, surely he is fit by now.
Johns went well at 13 but was not brought back on till well into 2nd half.
Am tending towards Crosslands at 6 with Gamble out and having Mann at 14 with Croker, Hetherington and Jones on bench. Cant or Lucas covering possibly injured Croker (play Jones middle)
Warriors strong tough side is no place for injury returning players, Elliott?

Do we gamble on Rivett at 5/8 or too soon
If I were the Warriors, I'd be running big men at him all night...so I don't think Rivett could do an 80 minute stint in first grade and sustain any value you may get out of his skill set and I reckon he would become a liability in the last 10 of the first half and last 15 in the second.

I reckon Adzy will give the gig to Crossland and probably give him a sub with Mann to get a 10 minute breather on the sidelines during the game

But that's just my thoughts on where O'Brien will go IF Ponga isn't cleared to play this week...and with all the coverage seen so far, I am expecting him to play

I get the feeling this Warriors game will be a grinding affair and our defence will determine whether we get the chocolates.

Looking at the defensive stats, Brailey has made 105 tackles with 1 missed at over 99% tackle efficiency, and I'm pretty sure the missed tackle he is credited with is the one where he was knocked out.
Next best is Crossland - 108 tackles with 2 missed at 98.2% tackle efficiency. One of those games he played 76 minutes at hooker and made 50 tackles with 0 missed, and he was out on his feet for at least 15 minutes, but still sticking all his tackles.

Actually, I hadn't looked at Tyson Frizzel because I thought his injuries would hamper him a bit like they did last year, but he is second most effective with 98.6% efficiency this year - only 1 missed tackle.

Has to be Crossland at 6 this week. Mann is actually a pretty important defensive cog in the middle and we really missed him last week. Think he’s probably got the biggest lungs in the team and we wouldn’t have conceded 3 tries on the last tackle with him there. Crossland is better than Gamble defensively and just needs to play a roll whilst Hastings and Miller run the show.

Crossland definitely playing like a first grader so far this season
Don't want to take anything away from him but I don't think the ball was meant for him when he placed that cross field kick to Young.

It was pulled off brilliantly, but I would like to see It done a couple of more times for me to be convinced he has reached another level.

Just want to call It now because I highly doubt I'm the only one thinking It.

I'm struggling to see a way we win this without Gamble at 6, the Warriors will be all over Hastings *** like flies to **** the whole game.

Hopefully he has enough In the tank to pull a rabbit out of the bag for us this week but I'm struggling to see how we pull this off.

I beg to differ, some of the tackles during the Manly game that Gamble made could have easily been line breaks had he not nailed the tackle.

Warriors here, and here we go again guys. Both teams seem to have a similar mindset this year of effort on effort an competing to the last whistle, no matter who is playing. I will not comment on the Knights other than the obvious, they will be a huge threat.

For our guys, I am not expecting many changes other than the suspension of Niukore, which reinforced to me what ******s the Bunker and review panel are. The team I think will roll out, Nichol-Klocstad, Kosi, Vailea (maybe Williame), Pompey, Montoya, Martin, SJ, Afoa, Egan, Fonua_Blake, Ford, Curren, Harris, Bench Walker, Tevaga, Sironen, Ale. We are also looking forward to Barnett coming back, as an ex Knight what are your opinions on him?
