Your team V Titans

The good news is one of the next four games is a bye.

Can ask for certain players to put in a really big shift, refuel the tank over the week off, and then be rested and raring to go for the Bulldogs.

I’d lean towards Jones starting, he’s the most similar to Thompson and more suited to starting than having to bring an impact off the bench. Hetherington is the only thing even resembling an impact prop off the bench that we have so would prefer to keep him spilt up from Saifiti.

8. Saifiti
9. Crossland
10. Jones
11. Lucas
12. Frizell
13. Elliott

14. Brailey
15. Hetherington
16. Croker
17. Cant

Part of me is hoping they want to keep Frizell in the middle and we get a McEwen debut, in which case I’d have Frizell starting at prop.

For some reason Brodie lost the spot he secured over the back end of last season as the #1 bench middle so I'm a bit loathe to elevate him too much.

Also don't think we should rush young fellas in and ask too much too soon if it can be helped.

I want Hetho's impact and athleticism early in the game to replace what we lose with Leo out. Send him out to empty the tank with line speed and power running. The Titans middles are very big and physical. Play the workhorses when the sting goes out of the game a bit. For me Brodie's specialty as a ball runner is this middle period of the game.

Hastings was in hospital on a drip a week ago.
If they were able to treat his infection with antibiotics, a few days on a drip and maybe 5 to 10 days of oral antibiotics and he'd be good to start training at least.
Some people get pretty sick on antibiotics and need to recover for a while, but some people are good to go right away.
Anyway, he was training at lock, and might be a chance to play next week.

Titans have a massive pack. Big blow losing Leo. KPP didn't have a good game last night outside of that good offload to Schiller.

8 JSaf/Hetherington
9 Crosslands
10 Jones
11 Lucas
12 Frizell
13 Elliott
14 Brailey
15 Hetherington/Hopwood
16 McEwen
17 Croker
18 Cant
If JSaf ok then Hopwood out, Hetherington bench relieving JSaf. Frizell to 12 for 80 mins keeping us strong and experienced. Use of bench critical with Brailey to give Crossland and or Elliott a break

Backs say same
8. J-Saf
9. Crossy

13. Elliot

14. Brails
15. hethro
16. Crokes
17. McEwen for the debut

18. Cant

McEwen needs to debut. It'll open people's eyes to the fact that this bloke should already be in the 17. The teething errors will be outweighed by what he brings, I'm quite confident of that.

Off the bench, 15 mins, in the middle or on an edge - not fussed.

Unfortunately I think we'll see Croker or Hethro start at prop with Cant brought in

If he has a baller of a game tomorrow, don't discount Obi giving him a shot. Will be a game of possession next week though, so wouldn't shock he goes the safer rout
