Your team v Storm

I don’t know what to make of this, you never support juniors and Lucas certainly isn’t proven.
Myself, I’m either way, I see things in both that make me optimistic. Maybe Lucas starting solid and KPP injecting energy on tired defenders?
I’d like to see a game of them 11/12 and Friz at 13 or bench
I would start Lucas, purely for the fact that is how they would have trained the majority of the pre-season and the other players perhaps feel more more comfortable with him there.

Stats are in for reserve grade.
Matt Croker played 80 minutes at prop - 12 runs for 120 metres, 44 tackles at 100% efficiency and 58 fantasy points.
Forum darling Sebastien Sua got 4 fantasy points in 27 minutes.
Sua was terrible. Unforced errors and no impact with his runs. Was really disappointing.

1 Ponga, 2 Jenkins, 3 Gagai, 4 Best, 5 Marzhew/Moceidreke, 6 Gamble, 7 Hastings//Cogger, 8 JSaf, 9 Crosslands,
10 Thompson, 11 Frizell, 12 KPP, 13 Elliott, 14 Brailey, 15 DSaf, 16 Hetherington/Cartwright, 17 Lucas.
Some doubts about Marzhew, Hastings and Hetherington.
If Hastings fit Cogger to Cup, same for Moceidreke and Cartwright.

With no Marzhew or Tuala, I'd say Moceidreke should start on the wing.

Obviously not as good as Coates and Warbrick but has the height to match those guys at 6ft6 as a attacking cross kick option.

So our team to play the Storm will be:

1 Ponga
2 Jenkins
3 Gagai
4 Best
5 Tuala (subject to fitness)
6 Gamble
7 Cogger
8 Thompson
9 Crossland
10 JSaf
11 KPP
12 Friz
13 Elliot

14 Brailey
15 DSaf
16 Hetherington (subject to fitness)
17 Lucas

I do really rate him as a player, but you want to be Joey Johns level if you're gonna be a nightmare behind the scenes. And even then I'm still not sure it's worth it. Cogger nowhere near as good but by all reports very professional & a great clubman. Character and team unity always wins out over talented individuals.

Underrated part of the truly great halfbacks is how good they are behind the scenes. Roosters haven't been anywhere near it since Cronk left. Reynolds is nowhere near the talent Mam or Walsh is but there's no way they're anywhere near where they've gotten to now without him.
