Now that i think about it, probably the best thing to do. Roberts could do with a couple of games to get some form going again before entering FG again. Besides Stig didn't let anyone down so would probably be better.

No reason why we couldn't play something like this against the Roosters. Worse case scenario, throw Lulia on the bench as a second rower (who would make more metres than Ciraldo anyway). Gidley to halves, Wes to FB if need be. Lulia anywhere in the backline.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Roberts and Stig as the halves. I thought Gidley did really well controlling the team tonight, but when he's in the halves, we seem to direct all our play to Gids and completely ignore his halves partner. I know Stig was on debut, but I still think he should be given a fair go. The same happened in all of Henry's games. He'd call for the ball and the dummy half would still go to Gidley or Mullen. I would like to see Stone address this to the team because it's been bugging me for awhile.

It would be a warm up for those two if they played in the halves together anyway, as the week later if Mullen isn't fit (likely) and Gids on Origin duty, then those two are the only halves we have left!

Sorry for posting a 2nd team, but this just cam across my mind. I think this would be a near perfect side for until Mullen is back. Noone is playing out of position apart from Wes & Gids. I've found a way to keep Stig & Roberts in the team, while having De Gois at hooker & Hilder at lock, aswell as trialling Gidley at hooker a bit as an audition for next year!

Only changes I would make to that would be Stig and Roberts to swap around. Instead of Lulia going to the backrow maybe get him straight into the centres for Sau and have Junior playing wider in the second row.

I want Stig/Roberts to be playing half, Don't care who the 5/8 is, but obviously when Mullen comes back, Gidleys going back to fullback. I'd much rather Mullen at 5/8 then at half. I think it just suits him so much better.
