Adam O'Brien said in this week's press conference that he definitely expects to see him in first grade in 2025, and that so far his development is extremely similar to Leo's when he joined the club. Says that it's obvious that he's come from a professional set-up.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him in first grade!

He needs to get some game time this week.
He'd only be good for 15 minutes of firstgrade right now.

He's named in Cup so I don't think he's gone up to the Gold Coast with the team.

I imagine at this stage if there's a late withdrawal from a forward they'll bring Matt Arthur into the 17 and play Phoenix at lock.

Will be very intrigued to see how our Cup pack goes against Penrith's Luron Patea who I've heard Penrith fans refer to as a Moses Leota clone (we may have to accept their dynasty will never end).

I’ve seen him, he has earned the nickname very well, literally Leota himself.

But it does look like their are cracks in the Panthers armour I think within two years the dynasty will be over in reality I think it ends this year just a gut feeling not even based on the last two games, I felt this way before a ball was kicked.

Every year they've looked worse at the start of the year Penrith, they've shifted over time from a team that dominates every week to one that does just enough during the regular season & times their run for the finals.

But yeah even allowing that, there will come a point that pacing themselves in the regular season will result in too many losses, which means they'll need to empty the tank more for regular season wins & eventually run out of steam in the finals.

Their edge defence definitely looks more brittle and that's a flow on from losing JFH. They don't control the middle anywhere near as well now - as good as Lindsay Smith is proving himself to be - and that exposes some deficiencies which were previously being covered up.

And Leota, as much as we've both just hyped him up, took the **** a bit in the regular season last year & he looks even worse this year.
