The Qld camp

We are allowed to take 30 players and 11 staff.

We have used 30 players in firstgrade this year.
Blake Green has retired.
Pasami Saulo and Starford To'a seem to have injuries that will keep them out for the next month.

We might not take Shiba.

That gives us 25 fit and healthy firstgraders and Matt Croker- although Best is a week or two off playing for now.

4 young guys get a big chance to spend a month in camp with the top squad.

I'd take Bailey Hodgson, Dylan Lucas, Mitch Black and Dan Ticehurst - although those guys have jobs and bills to pay, so might not be able to go.

Knights will be in a "hub" on the Sunshine coast with Penrith, Manly and Roosters.
I don't know if that means they get to intermingle, but I think they will share training facilities and homeground.
They are working on arrangements to take close family members, but you wouldn't think anyone with kids in school will be able to do that for a month during the school season.

I was hoping they would get the Sunny coast. More laid back and less people than Brisbane/Gold Coast.

Sunny Coast isn’t what it use to be unfortunately. I remember when I could park my car at Mooloolaba, or even in the Main Street of Caloundra. Develop, develop develop.

Would think NSW Cup will likely abandon the comp, but with all the teams staying together should be pretty easy to set up games for the leftover squad members

Saw an article on one of the real NRL teams yesterday, can't remember which one, in which they said they were getting 4 NSW cup players from the Knights next week. I assume all the sides will have a handful of Knights.

Edit - the story was that Lakes will be able to field a team with 4 Knights players next week after not being able to play last week because many of their players live on the Central Coast and are in lockdown.

It would be interesting to see a full list of the 30 players going into camp.
It should give us an idea of who looks good for next year.
I'd say we can say the 21 man squad named this week are all in, and Best and Sue will be in, so that's 23.

7 more spots to fill.

That's a fair assessment, although we've got Tuala, Hunt, Fitzgibbon, Watson, King, Johns and Hoy in the top 21 who are still unsigned for next year. I'd say all of those players are uncertain to stay. Whereas some who aren't in the top 21 this week (Musgrove, Shibs possibly, Saulo, Sue, Toa, Hodgson and Best) are all signed for at least 2022.

I’m sure they have done everything bar load him up in a wagon and roll him from club to club trying to find a taker.

Schibs will/should be gone, worst thing is he is using up a space in the 30, it’s not the money, would be worthwhile paying him off and having the spot to fill.
Cant see any club wanting him especially when his preferred position, centre, is an ongoing problem for us and he can’t get close to being good enough to fill a spot. On yesterday’s performance it’s hard to imagine he is worse than Mann

They both range from average to a liability, we need to find someone better.

They offloaded him and since he has shown zilch in effort or ability, hard to imagine he has been offered or suggested a position. He will stay, love to be wrong, cop the money, sit on reserve bench for a year and chuckle at how easy it is to earn good money
