GI was a done deal for Brisbane once too remember.

DCE was playing for the Titans and Pearce we had no shot at.

We have no idea whats going on at Red Hill atm, Bennett use to have full control of that place and what he wanted he got, those days have now passed and the broncos want him gone, though out of a huge amount of respect towards Bennett they want it to seem like he's called time.

Bennett wont be coaching them in 2yrs, id be suprised if his the 2019 coach.

Tpj like any young guy wants a big fat contract, a verbal 2yr upgraded deal in a place that seems to have 2 different future views atm isnt exactly a sound future prospect.

If we're serious a 4yr 2.5mil deal would be a great base line contract, with a good chunk of incentives on top for performances.
 
I honestly think that Tpj is unhappy with what the Broncos have offered him. They offered Payne Hass 6 years at 3mil and have only offered TPJ 2 years. He probably knows he should get a better deal.

He only asked for a 2yr deal due to the Bennett future...
Though i think he's starting to see that its best to takeva fst contract while the offers are available
 
TPJ wanted to stay at the Broncs because of Bennett. Maybe all this conjecture around Bennett's future he is reading the writing on the walls and is realistic that the contract he signs is likely only going to have 1 year with Bennett. Maybe not even that. Broncs can pull the pin on Bennett at any time, yet he has to make his commitment now.

Maybe his heart is calling him home.

If he were set on the Broncs, he would not have travelled to Newcastle to negotiate.

Then again, maybe he realises his stupid mistake declaring he will sign with the Broncs and the damage that does to his negotiating power and is now making amends to leverage a better deal.

Find out soon enough I guess.
 
Well facts are he visited us and the Roosters so something must have changed up there in Brisbane

I'm very surprised that he's considering leaving, and maybe he isn't, maybe it's a ploy to get more dollars out of the Broncs.

Either way at least he's back on the table and we can have another shot at him

TPJ is an idiot for relying on a football clubs, much less a coach like Bennnetts word. Clearly after they've thrown the bank at the other two he was expected to take unders and is rightly filthy, make it happen Knights wasn't a fan before but guy could be anything if he stays angry.

Him, Ramien and Moga fighting it out is only a good thing, reckon Sione could develop as well into the bench utility that Lamb was too bigger sook to give a go. Surely at a pinch he could learn some basic dummy half skills and be able to fill in either backrow or backs as well?

I was the forums biggest bagger but couldn't be prouder on how much his worked on his difficiencys in his game, shows a lot of character.
 
So what’s he worth a year?

I think 600 to 650. I still think he has the potential to become lazy. But we need this type of player pretty desperately.

That attitude saw Latrell Mitchell given a thanks but no thanks. He's still lazy tbh but who wouldn't have him in the centres right now.

Lot easier to get a lazy player to have a go than to get a worker like Yates to grow five inches and find elite athleticism.

Wonder if the change in attitude in Pangai is the new Agent he has been delaying for, could be he wants a bigger share than Brisbane is offering so has gone on the open market, if so we are still a chance.
Said weeks ago, he ain't signed so we are still a chance.
On Sione I would like to see him stay centre until Moga is ok, along with Ramien gives us a strong backline with SKD and Lee and if good enough to keep Moga out then ok if not then bench giving us variety.

Broncos took advantage of that. Who would you rather sign first? Your best young players with the fear of being approached by other clubs and poached or the guy who openly declared he's staying in Brisbane and isn't listening to other offers?
Easy choice not the latter being that.

Won't stop the broncos for quick-smartening up their negotiations to hold onto him.

I think the 'make a Gf or you're sacked' ultimatum has some truth to it. Broncos sacked Griffin/Henjak with similar expectations.
