Makes you wonder whose best interest the deal is in.

Most likely scenario is that it opens up the possibility for him to follow Benny if he decides to keep coaching elsewhere.

Ben Dobbin reporting today on Triple M there is serious mail about Bennett being pushed a year earlier at the end of 2018, basically not on speaking terms with the CEO. I think TPJ's pretty much going to sign too but I wonder what effect it has on the players.

edit: TPJ can't sign off on a new manager until October

Broncos have confirmed Bennett will coach next season.

Makes more sense so they can have a serious go at Seibold without the mess of him being under contract.

The idea of TPJ leaving the Broncos if Benny is shown the door is a nice one, but the Broncos are a good club to be at and they don't lose players they want to keep.

Because they knew they had TPJ, Haas, Lodge, Su'a, Fifita etc

Broncos don't lose the ones they want to keep.

People will point to them losing Ben Hunt, but I'd bet my last dollar they were happy to see him go because they backed themselves to get Ash Taylor back.

I’d love to see TPJ back here but I honestly don’t mind players using us to increase offers elsewhere. Look at the Doncs being unable to offer competitive deals for Eseese and Moga, after giving Bird and others crazy deals.

If the Doncs give TPJ a crazy amount of money, they might then be unable to afford others and we can swoop on those.

I think I would put TPJ into prop and Ese,ese to lock as he said he wanted to play lock as he likes it there

He's already verbally agreed to something

He said already before that he's wanted to stay and would sort something out

He has already told other clubs not to bother with him

Bennett was quoted as saying he's not leaving

Bennett is likely to see out his contract.

Who's calling the shots now?
