All of us will have different teams but one thing we can be sure of is that we have a gun team next year & our 2012 roster already craps all over any of our teams in the post-Johns era (2008-present).

It craps on any team we have had post 2004 tbh, when we started losing Tahu, Kennedy, Parsons, O'Davis, Hughes, Gidley etc.

And If Taia reaches his top form again he would be in the starting side. I rate him more on the edges then Housten and its not even close. I know for a good portion of 2009, Taia was leading forwards for linebreaks in the NRL. Housten could easily make the transition to lock.

The gains vs losses is absolutely promising in itself. I'm so excited for next year!

As far as I see it, best case scenario is we also get Bird as well. NOW:

1. Boyd
2. McManus
3. Sau
4. Tahu
5. Aku
6. Roberts
7. Mullen
8. Snowden
9. Gidley
10. Tui
11. Taia
12. Bird
13. Costigan

14. Buderus
15. Houston
16. Edwards
17. Hilder

18. McKinnon
19. Rogers
20. Tolar
21. Likiliki
22. Lulia
23. Richie

We're kind of like NSW, too many backrowers, not enough in the front i guess. Might have to put Costigan on the bench to join the front row rotation and have Houston play 13. I want to put Richie in the 17, but I can't find a place for him unless we take no utilities. Might drop Edwards for him I guess, but Edwards deserves his spot.

And then imagine if Tahu hits top form. Jizzfest.

2. James McManus
3. Junior Sau
4. Timana Tahu
5. Aku Uate
6. Tyrone Roberts
7. Jarrod Mullen
8. Kade Snowden
9. Kurt Gidley (c)
10. Neville Costigan
11. Chris Houston
12. Zeb Taia
13. Joel Edwards - I would probably have him in the #13 over Hilder at the moment. Still unsure a bit though

14. Danny Buderus
15. Evarn Tuimavava
16. Richie Fa'aoso
17. Matt Hilder - Move him to lock when Edwards has a spell

I don't think we'll win the comp in 2012, but you would nearly feel confident of a top 4 finish next year, looking at these lineups.

There aren't many rosters better than ours...8 internationals (9 if we have Bird), Clive Churchill medallist, 9 Origin Players (10 with Bird).

Melbourne have the 3 players of their spine plus a bunch of young, very capable players. Manly are also littered with rep talent. St George are getting cleaned out but will still have enoguh rep talent to make them competitive. New Zealand will play as a team as usual, and use their size to go around. But in all honesty, who else would have a roster like ours besides the ones mentioned?

I would love for us to sign Andrew Fifita for the other bench spot, him and Richie replacing snowy and nev would give us great impact and it wouldn't bother me having all forwards on the bench as:
-Edwards, Nev and Houston can play front/backrow
-Hilder can play backrow/hooker
-Tahu can play centre/wing/backrow
-Boyd can play Fullback/centre/wing
-Gids can play anywhere bar prop

If we got Jon Green and/or Adam Cuthbertson would you guys put them in the team over guys like Tui and Fa'aoso?

Definitely not Fa'aoso. I really rate him and I think he's been awesome in the last few weeks. I don't like to throw around the word potential a lot, but I honestly think Fa'aoso could be something special within the next few years.

Would love us to sign Cuthbertson though, just not sure where we'd play him.

Not sure where to play Boyd atm, but I would prefer Gidley play at fullback. He doesn't impress me in the halves and although he is a good hooker as well I see his position at fullback where Boyd could play wing, centre or five eight IMO and still impress.

Marlborough is 5 years younger than Adams and nearly as good already - give him a firstgrade off season and he will be well ahead of the constantly injured 26 year old Adams.
Adams deserved a shot - and he's had it - time to move on.

I'd also give Rodney Mason a firstgrade off season - he is a potential firstgrader for sure.
