Taylor in the Wrong?

I think the coach should be allowed to go down, but, the players shouldn't be able to leave the field and the coach not allowed to enter the field.

So how are they supposed to communicate?

:p

Should be illegal, and if they won then they should have lost the points. It's an unfair advantage to allow one coach to address the team at a crucial point in the match.

And it should be illegal for all sides because as knightsno7 said, it's another boring stoppage.

Said on the news that now there are calls for it to become legal. :|

This is what annoys me about RL. As soon as something is done once people wanna either change it or make it (il)legal straight away e.g. 'The Prowler'. This is another example, stick to the rules for god sakes.

Agreed.

It also seems so American Football. The last thing the game needs is to be anything like that crap!

It just shouldnt be allowed whether it holds the game up or not. A coaches input should be limited to half time etc (generally what it is now). The players need to take some responsibilty and control over the game. If this starts up all the time it could lead to stopages in play and the game getting too over technical. Long term it will lead to bad things.

I also wish they'd ditch the trainers coming onto the field. They should only be allowed on during stoppage in play to tend to injured players. If it is too hot and a player needs water - make the minute stop halfway through the half more frequently utilised.

Like what though?

If it holds up the game then fair enough, but either way the message will get to the players.

So why should the coach be allowed on the feild if the message gets to the players anyway? He should stay where he is and leave the personal contact to half time.

Thats just my what I think. Having them on the feild and addressing players in game time is way too over the top IMO.

I think it is great for the game.

Coach showing his passion on the field during the eighty. There should be more of it!

I agree, as long as it doesnt slow the game up anymore :icon_rolleyes: then ive got no issue with it.

Anyone watch NRL on FOX yesterday?

They showed a clip of Nathan Brown talking to Trent Barret and Lance Thompson and someone else on the sideline. And he was slapping them and hitting them and stuff, all infront of the crowd. Loved it
We need that sorta stuff back in the game, but if a coach did that in todays game, it would be all over the news - more so in a bad way

Yeh that bought in heaps of contreversy coz Barrett got slapped, Id be ****ed off too if my coach slapped me in front of Millions (TV)
