Speed of the game blowout scores

Tactically it seems easier to defend a man down in football than it does in rugby league. You can remove a striker and still keep a relatively compressed shape to stop teams getting close to that 8 yards by 8 ft thing we call a goal.

Having said that I would be a big advocate for sin bins to be introduced into football.
It’s also rare that a team red carded does come out on top as well.

I’ll just add that I’ve always been 100% anti replacing a sent off player in league. It’s always been possible to win with 12 men imo. But under the current interpretations, I really struggle to see how a team could manage it.

What if a team was up by 40 and the send off happens in the last couple of minutes?

My suggestion of a 10min break before replacement would mean man short for remainder of game if offence was within last 10. Player would still have to face judiciary.
The replacement time could be anything, 10-15-20mins later.
