Origin is rarely high scoring because the refs are too afraid to give away penalties, as the majority of points in the NRL come on the back of repeat sets (either penalties or forced line dropouts). And they are too afraid that a penalty will influence the game. So like game 1, we see the ruck was an absolute mess.
They reckon they are going to clean it up, if they do there is too much talent out there to not score points, but will the refs ever follow through?
At least we dont have Archer who has been in Maroon since he stepped into the origin arena. And cummins usually calls it as is, and isnt afraid to back his judgement (makes a fair few mistakes though) and can have games where he calls a few penalties.

One of the greatest games ever! Some terrific discipline in the first half, a good mix of forward slugging and back line enterprise. Paul Gallen is a monster and I will erect a shrine in his honour. I could not really fault anyone's game tonight, say maybe for Ennis who gave away some penalties. Everybody else was oustanding.

the brilliance was his simplicity. He didn't try and pull the match winning play, he fulfilled his role without flaw. Ran in support all the time, returned kicks without delay and moved the ball when he had to. He left the miracle passes to the playmakers, and that's all NSW needed tonight, because the playmakers were on song.
Soward was quiet early on, but his involvement late in the game was instrumental. Pearce played exceptional, and honestly don't think Mulen could have done the same. The long range kicking started off pretty poorly, but once we got on the front foot, it was very good.

Fantastic performance by the blues, everyone deserves a good rap about their performance. Not a bad player in the team.
Our fowards really dominated, Gal, Bird, Lewis and Watmough were just brilliant! Gidley created so many oppurtunities from dummy half, class game. Pearce and Soward were great too, Pearce's defence and direction of the team and Soward taking it to the line!
Mini was fantastic also!
