Slots stats show what he wants to show, stats are used to emphasise good or bad play, show all stats and you get a better picture as in with his lot show us tackles made and missed to give us a better overall picture of a players involvement.
He won't supply that or if he does he will add a slant to justify his conviction

So where are the rest of the stats to confirm your opinion of Sione, assume lack of supply means lack of proof to your case.
Believe that the current 5 players for this season so far with most missed tackles do not include a Knights player including Sione so is he as bad as you make out or ?? ? If you wish to use stats for your argument at least be honest and provide them all to be fair to all including yourself

Imho i think Sione would be number 1 for missed tackles/ bad reads that lead to tries.
Id also say he would be right up there with the top 5 for missed tackles if they counted the times he doesnt tackle anything.

Stats for missed tackles are difficult as they dont count the ( i touched nobody ) so no missed tackle.

99% of us know Sione has a bad issue with reading the play, its weird though as every team runs the same play.
40ish games at centre and he still hasnt nailed reading the block play.
 
I agree it is his misreading of situation more than his tackling ability, his thin air attempts are not something only he has. I am sure he makes as many if not more tackles than most centres in the game meaning that many times he rushes up and makes them. It seems that Sione along with a couple of others receive more severe attention for mistakes. No doubt his game would improve dramatically if he fixed that problem and he would be more acceptable to critics.
 
If you're talking about their first try, no one said it was. Go have a look at Sami's second try and let me know what you think.

If another player was consistently costing us a try or two a game I'm sure they would get the same criticism.

No doubt Sione stays on his man we probably stop that try although it would have depended on Lamb,Sione and SKD making a 1 on 1 tackle.
 
No centre in the game could be out there by them selves 3 on 1 and stopped that first try but the second try was all on Sione he ran up out of the line and left a gaping hole that they scored thru all his fault and he does it a lot . the team moves up as a line and he is 3 or 4 Meters infront of everyone else .
If he just stayed in the line we would have half as many points scored against us as he can tackle but if he isn't going to learn to defend as part of the team then get rid of his arse .
I hope he learns soon though because we need him too , even though Moga didn't have a great start to the season with us he knows how to defend and attack and with Ramien coming there will be no place for Sione if he keeps doing this rubbish ...
 
This is why I shift some of the responsibility onto Brown. Has he identified it as a problem and worked on it ? If he has and week after week it's still happening then drop him. Don't worry about the there's no one else excuse. If Brown hasn't then he probably should be in the crowd watching with us.
 
One positive from Sione's rushing out of the line: I recorded the game and used freeze frame on both tries to demonstrate to my boys exactly what not to do!
I have always been an advocate of Sione, he is a strong ball runner, but his defensive reads are nothing short of terrible!
I would drop him this week and bring in Denniss or Buhrer!
 
I never really rated Sione as a centre or backrower, just remember Bennett starting him on the wing then getting selected for rep. Honestly think should be SKD in the centres and Sione on the wing, we all know SKD has played there before and isn't bad.

Wing maybe the only option cause centre is a lost cause - if he jambs in at least the centre still defends inside out and has the sideline as his allie.

One thing is for certain what he is doing now is cruel if us week on week out.
 
Too true , but he is a part of the problem when he keeps making the same mistakes every week.

It can’t possibly be helping the confidence of the rest of the team.
