Second pre-season trial - Knights Vs Bulldogs - 6:00pm Saturday, 14th February - McDonald Jones Stadium

I won’t say much but what I will say it Holbrook is stupid, Smith played a great game imo against the dragons on the right, and Brown is a left sided player and always has been, why the hell would he swap them? He needs to swap them around for the second.

When Brown has moved to the left for attacking plays he has looked really good but he’s forced to stay on the right permanently it’s bone headed, put brown to the left and Smith to the right, it is that simple.
He still might just do that, well im hoping he does. Smith just goes quiet on the left, happened last week as well

ESL had one good run that half and he'd still be the first forward picked going off trial form - starters included. Not ideal.

Either Smith isn't the player this forum convinced themselves that he is or the coach is making him play like Jack Cogger. Either way it's hard to argue Sharpe wouldn't be more dangerous in the role Smith played in the first half.
Yeah Saulo needs to pick it up, I actually rate him (as a bench forward). He hasn’t been great in either trial.

Smith and Brown have made some good tackles though. So they’ve been better than Cogger/Hastings/Arthur in that regard at least.

Only reason I can think Brown is on the right side is for his long kicking game, he is right footed and Ponga left foot

I thought Brown looked dangerous. He has been creating half opportunities all half. Just need someone to capitalize on them.

I am more worried about how easily the dogs are marching upfield with the ball.

Brown’s been solid for what he’s working with. It’s just that he is so dominant on the front foot with his running game, how much are we gonna see that

Hopefully enough. We also have KP and Sharpe coming back with their running games.
If Brown can just do what he is doing so far with KP back running the left side and Sharpe floating around we could look dangerous in attack. I have no worries about what they can create together this year.

Its our pack that worries me more than anything.

I’m looking forward to the “it’s just a trial, we weren’t trying to show our hand or anything” after the game. Doesn’t explain dogs rolling up the field
