Apparently 60-80% of players in a team in the nrl get injured each year and the average injury sidelines a player for about 3.5 games. But agree, sack Holbrook, he just started and players are already getting injured! We will have no players left.

Might be something the club just has to contend with if they've decided to overload the players deliberately in the off season as part of their conditioning strategy for the season.

I don't mind the new trainers having the approach of resting guys with any hint of injury in the pre-season.
Ponga has been in cotton wool all off season, and I don't care if we get him ready slowly, as long as we can get him firing at the business end of the season for a change.
There are no competition points we can win in the trials.

On NRL.com it now has Crouch on the bench, sure he wasn’t there on Tuesday. Hopefully Arthur comes into the side as well with Sharpe not playing and we see a bit of him at hooker in the second half.

He played in the NRL trial last week came on with about 15 mins to go

Yeah I expect it to be slow, it’s always better to build into a season, with people like Crossland, Best, Brown stood down because of internationals it’s not the perfect pre-season as well as with the injury to Ponga and whatever is going on with Sharpe but I hope by round 6 the team can kick on.
