Second pre-season trial - Knights Vs Bulldogs - 6:00pm Saturday, 14th February - McDonald Jones Stadium

Another 2 seasons of an injury prone Kalyn really could kill our premiership window.

I find it amusing people think Roosters would take him on, Teddy realistically could play another 2-3 seasons atleast and this year begins his premiership window.

Kalyn is 28 this year, and let's be honest physically he is cooked.
I find it amusing that you think KP would kill our premiership window instead of being the main reason that we'd even have one in the first place.

The idea of taking a guy who could potentially play fullback for us for ten years and play Origin a bunch of times in that position, bulking him up and sending him out there to get bashed around making 40 tackles every week, honestly turns my stomach a little.
Mine too. Certainly not suggesting we change anything with him. Like billy saud, he will be playing fullback or 5/8 most of the year anyway. Its just what we do with him the rate occasion they are all fit.
I dont mind the idea of wing but that restricts him big time. Lock is the one position in the middle of the park that essentially roams anyway without a set role / position. They used to be second slightly larger 5/8's before teams starting using them as a 3rd front rower. Just let Sharpe be Sharpe, with the 13 on his back.

Sobering starting forward pack to look at, only really missing Mooney and it’s tough reading. If Cant is starting over McEwen in Vegas we might as well just lay down and not try to score points. He was solid last week but we aren’t playing reserve graders every week, McEwen is a better player and should be getting reps as a starter if he's healthy.

Looks like ESL is being rewarded. Hopefully he nabs a bench spot for Vegas, would be nice to have at least one bench forward who the defence will actually have to respect when he’s hitting the ball up.

is this premiership window in the room with us? Cmon now.

I do feel bad for McCarthy imagine giving it your all, making the most runs in the entire game and end with around 195 metres only to be dumped out of the side next week, I guess it shows we have depth in case of injuries to wing and centre.

I understand it all just feel bad for Kyle

Cant must’ve been impressing in the pre-season to start over McEwen
McEwen is a still heaps young. Cant isnt as good as McEwen but he is probably more professional and consistent, so a good lesson for the coach to dish out to McEwen to start the season. Won't be long before McEwen takes the spot and once he does he'll be cognisant that its only his spot if his form permits.

I dont like seeing Cant in the 13 let alone the 17 but we have no better options to play McEwen off against
