Rumour: Knights chasing Dylan Napa

2299, unfortunately that is what these "Clowns at the Top " are thinking, can anyone name one decision they have made as a collective which has increased the Game as spectacle.

No attacking the legs of a kicker, not tackling a defender in mid air, Putting players over the horizontal.
All good things when it comes to player welfare.

I just wish "common sense" came into a call sometimes.
Re- a good solid hit under the rib cage and dumping them on there back.

Things can change quickly in the NRL

TPJ was supposed to be done deal staying in Bris Vegas but all of a sudden he’s touring facilities

Napa still a chance

Given the Nappa suspension what would happen to Pong tackling Uate like he did in round 1 ? He's led with his head and stopped a try ?
In that instance, Ponga's hands actually make first contact with Uate (on the ball carrying hand and his upper body) - I know it is a split second difference but hands make first contact and everything else (head to head contact) in that tackle is inconsequential

In the act of saving a try too, where players throw their whole bodies at each other. Being a one off too, makes it fairly to easy to make the judgement of it being accidental. It's a bit different for Napa as he's straight on tackling someone in the field of play & it has happened multiple times, that, you would think would lend to the idea of it being a slight technique problem that he needs to address.

I can’t really see an issue with it. It’s happened twice out of however many games of footy he has played. If it was a weekly issue then he would have to address it.

Look at Hurrel, he raises his knee high and has caused some damage to players, I can think of two times.

JWH leads with his forearm sometimes.

They are all going to cause similar problems.

Having said all this, we still usually get royally screwed when it comes to dud calls in this space....Mamo go 3-4 weeks for sliding in an attempt to stop a try against the bulldogs I think, where his hip (not a knee, fist or foot) connected with the players head and concussed him, several other instances occurred during the rest of that season (including concussion to the players collected) and it didn't even warrant a penalty, let alone a stint on the side line, Kade Snowden got rubbed out for 7 weeks after the GRADE 4 'shoulder charge' on Ray Thompson and plenty of others that have shown we are easy whipping boys for the MRC, whilst others get the 'nothing to see here' consideration (Luke Lewis's late and high hit on Ponga readily springs to mind :fist:

Hopefully we are on the way out of that sort of treatment now that we are not NRL owned at all. Easy for the NRL to make an example of an NRL team they own.

Yeah & you'd think people like Brown & Gardner would stick up for the club & ask questions if we got that sort of rough treatment now.
