I'm very hopeful that Woolford will have a big year. I've been a fan since I watched him almost single handed beat us in under 20s when he was at Canberra. In that game he was clearly the brains in the Canberra side, calling all the plays, kicking the goals, playing hooker, but moving to 5/8, lock and even running with the backs when he had to. He showed with Canterbury last year that he still has a whole range of skills and abilities and is a very smart footballer as well. All we are hearing about him in pre season training is that he showed up earlier than he had to and showed up really fit and ready to go hard. He has been one of the best trainers so far, and I'd say he hasn't eased off since the end of last season and is giving this pre season all he has to try to earn a spot. I don't know how we'll use him, but he seems like a very versatile player we could use in a lot of different ways.
