Klemmer is a huge man that makes more metres than Tolman in less minutes & runs harder. He also has 10 years ahead of him. Him & Daniel Saifiti would be the best young front-row in the game. Tolman is a good player, but he makes no impact & make big metres mostly because he's fit & plays big minutes. He's a Gallen type ball hog that racks up the stats. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but it makes his stats a little deceptive. Klemmer would drastically change the look of our team, Tolman would only make it a bit better.

Well say we have Dan and Klemmer as starting front rowers, both big men that makemeters, but not great at moving left or right and making tackled.
They come in as the second/third player a lot though.
So who makes all the tackles in the middle? Levi? Barnett? Both gookbut still miss plenty.
Tolman averages 40tks for 0.6 missed a game. Arguments can sayhis the best defense propin the game.

Guy on Fox reckons we've also offered Blair a 4 year deal and he leans to him signing with us.

Pretty sure he's from the Courier Mail though so the not so solid sh*t I just took has about the same amount credibility as him.

I read somewhere, Blair's wife doesn't want to move to NZ... If that's the case, it's no wonder he's in town having a good look around.

It was a beautiful weekend to be showing his family the beaches and Newcastle's other attractions as well.

IMO Tolman is a solid contributor but doesn't really add any flair or punch to the side and I believe we have players that can fill that type of role in our side... that's why I would invest in our youth or go got klemmar as he would do just that. IMO same as Blair with his ability to offload ability. But hope we get the Blair that wants to play and not the one that went to the Tigers.

I'ld take Tolman any day - no nonsense 30 Tackles , 100M every game - no silly penalties ,no controversy no Grubby tactics, a quiet acheiver who only knows one way (forward ) and lets his Play do the talking.

I thought the Dogs had him sewn up.

Don’t be surprised if Newcastle drop out of the mix for Bulldogs discards if they land the signature of Adam Blair.

The club has cash to spend but are mindful of sharing it around a host of positions and not blocking the pathway of their emerging talents like the Saifiti boys.

“All I can guarantee is he is a player of interest for us,” Nathan Brown said.

“He is certainly someone we feel would help our young forwards, the (Daniel and Jacob) Safitis, (Josh) Kingy and Barny (Mitchell Barnett) with his experience.. “He’s come from the Melbourne Storm and he is a winner and he knows how to prepare to win.

“He is certainly someone who would help our organisation move forward a lot.”

It really doesn't seem like there is a lot of interest for Adam Blair, that's probably why the Broncos let him look around so they don't have to offer him more then they have to and ease some cap pressure.
I'd like to think there may be better players available despite the experience he offers so if it happens so be it, but he'll have to win over a lot of fans if he comes here.
 
Blair is such a mixed bag it's a gamble locking him in for anything more than a couple of years at his asking price, with additional years as options in our favour.

But in saying that, Brown and Mooney haven't let us down thus far, so if they think Blair is a smart recruitment prospect, I'll trust their judgement.
 
People need to remember 2/3 clubs his been great. He was also at Tigers during a very dark period were many players went backwards.

His more than likely going to be great for us than not, especially off the field.
