This is a big chance for Feeney.
He is fully fit.
He is in good form - probably career best.
He is finally being given a chance in his preferred number 7 spot.
He is up against a side suffering from a lot of injuries, so not at it's best.
If he blows it badly, he'll probably not get a new contract.

He should be given a couple of games to get some combos and momentum in his own game at nrl level.

Although if he has a shocker again then... bye bye

We all know Feeney is quite decent in attack but it was the fundamentals that let him down in first grade.
He was also soft as butter in defence.
Hess and JT will be targeting him all game.

All I remember about Feeney was him dropping every ball that came his way.

He is coming in for Hodkinson so I'll be looking for him to be taking last tackle options and not just passing it to anybody else who will take the ball.

We have been calling on Hodkinsons head for a while so this is his chance. Knight looking for a half and Albert Kelly is sniffing for an NRL contract, Reynolds in the mix. If Feeney is ever going to stake a claim to a half spot at NRL level, this is his chance.

Not a fan of Sione going to 5/8 he would do the job but I think it would be a bit to much pressure on Lamb particularly when it comes to our kicking game. It would also effect out edge defence we saw it against Penrith when Sione played centre it disrupted our edge defence and we leaked a lot of points down their.

Kelly re-signed with Hull during the week.

Bugger, I hadn't seen that. I was hoping we had that halfback from the UK that wanted to return to the NRL and had almost agreed to terms with us over the line.

I guess we are back to looking at the scraps of the NRL for our next half, or just stick with Cogger and be done with it.

Sione starting 5/8 and bringing Feeney to the bench speaks volumes on where Brown sees Feeney for us in future!

Honestly even brown admitted our money isn't working no one wants to come here and who could blame them...

Don't buy anyone, keep the coin and keep collecting spoons until the right players do come....

There is no one left now, Foran wants to be in sydney and Widdop just signed with the Dragons.

Cronk is only one year so no point in even trying, maybe Reynolds will be pushed out and Graham from the dogs... besides that there isn't anyone else worth signing so time to suck it up and just play with what we have.

Sione can't go into the halves thats silly...

Sione has filled in the halves a few times at NRL level before. We've seen he can kick, can throw a short ball & throw a long ball to link in attack before as a fullback. Should be okay, if not good. Who knows defensively though, he seemed to get worse actually being moved back out to the centres a few weeks ago.

I think it is a great move and have been calling it. Sione to 5/8 and on the left with Pete. He sure is not going to have a long career if he stays in the pigs with the head knocks and concussion. He is carrying about three or four extra kg on his 105kg frame and that is not big enough to handle a strong, fast bac krowers like Boyd Cprdner etc.

I'm just thinking along the lines of we have not been able to score points so we might struggle even more... then again his kicking game has been better than Trents...

He'd have been at 6 before today If I was the coach. And please if he don't equal Brett Kenny on his debut I don't want to read about how it was a bad move.
