If we win it’s usually because of Ponga or Pearce so that helps. And if we lose he could get a point or two here and there so who knows
 
It will come down to how the team goes, if he was in a team that wins the majority of their games he'd be a shoe in i reckon
 
I'm guessing he doesn't fit the "Rookie" criteria having backed up with the couple of games he played last season?
Winning as a rookie would be a phenomenal achievement in itself.

Just watched the Best Defense Round 8 and was super impressed with the amount of ground Guerra covers to make the try saver, defense like that wins games and often goes unnoticed.

What worried me was how easily Manly created the extra man when Sione shoots up , over commits and comes up empty and SKD follows him in.

If Sione watches Guerra in the preceding movement he follows Turbo square then springs across for the hard chase out shadowing "just incase ", where Sione heads out , full body shift to chase in hard and over commits leaving a 3 on 1, then turns and chases out again, I wonder if he would be better suited to defending tight to the half and chasing out towards the side line without changing direction 3 times ??
 
Or just stick him on the sideline in defence and give him nowhere to worry about sliding to. Just stick next to the person defending at centre and that's it.
 
Imo if you're that bad defensively you're getting hidden on the wing you probably shouldn't be in first grade.
If only a centre drops from the skies in the next two months...
 
Gould was talking Jack Wighton up as a centre big time last night. Hes an excellent defender and might be without a club shortly. He might be a go?

Only problem there is that if the Raiders sack him they'll want the NRL to ban him for a while.

Fantastic 2019 option though.
 
Not too many players, of quality, will come available this year, play with what we have with the focus being on obtaining at least 4-5 very good to top shelf players in critical positions for 2019, this year the team may not be ideal but it's going as good or better than hoped.

Geez thats crazy for a guy that is being called out for getting dropped by knights fans.
