That ref decision was an absolute horror show. The standard of refereeing and judgement from the bunker has to be tied to something other than the game and rules as we know it.
They are both a dog’s breakfast atm.

The only two stats for Middle forwards that Emily McArthur didn't win were run metres - just behind Romaniuk - and minutes played - just behind Davison.
She got the most fantasy points, most post contact metres, most tackles - but her best stat was 7 passes - more than the rest of the middles combined.
In Tarsha Gale she was a really effective ball playing lock who was really good at offloading near the line to players running a good line. She had a lot of try assists and got through a mountain of work - mostly defence.

Predebon was really disappointing. She’s had two weeks off and she comes back with only 36 mins, 5 Runs, 44 metres, 1TB, 19 tackles and 1 error. Our main prop and she was left for dead by an 18 year old rookie

Says Emily is 18, which is crazy because she must have been 17 when she played in the reserve grade GF last year.

Last year I was convinced that Stella Lewis was our best young forward who hadn't debuted, but this year I think Emily McArthur and Lacy Cross went past her during the Tarsha Gale season.

Having said that, Emily is a great defender for big minutes, but not that great at bending the line yet.

One thing she is very good at is using her vision and passing skills to put other players through the line. Her best position is lock in a Matt Croker like role. She makes a lot of smart choices in attack and defence.
