The Dragons will turn up, question is will we.

We have a lot to turn around in 1 week.

I think it will be too big an ask to do so in 1 weeks time, hope I am wrong.

A week is a long time in the NRL, this time last week somebody was talking about us going 6-0 to start the year, whilst the Dragons were a mess.

I go into most weeks confident if we play a good game we can take the points.

I can’t see us coming close. Our attack is predictable and terrible. Defence is good but doesn’t go a long way when you can’t score.

I don't know why people are saying our defence is still good. It was diabolical last night. Missed 50+ tackles. The raiders bombed 4 tries and completed at only 65%, plus the ref was very friendly.

93% of all stats are 66% misleading.

Forget the stats. The raiders game might have been close on the score board but that was only through sheer luck. It might not have shown on the score board but that game was a flogging by Canberra, they were better in every aspect.

Slots is spot on, they bombed plenty, gave us plenty of chances and we couldn't get ourselves in to the game, didn't even look like scoring for majority of game no matter where we were on the field.

Well it seems most teams are trying the experiments with halves this year, Dragons are as well, the Raiders games with Wrighton playing 5/8th. Seems like coaches are trying to move the attacking fullbacks into a ball playing halves.
Personally I like Ponga at fullback soo exiting watching him play last season. Even friends who support other teams liked watching him play.
For me our attitude and desire just isn't there, its good that we can hold teams down to 20 points but with the way we attacking? not sure we can make finals playing like this.
But its only round 3 lol march footy is over soo bring on the dragons. Ill be making the trip up to newi from the blue mountains we must win:)

Ponga to be named at fullback confirmed, I guess Watson gets named at 5/8 ?? Not sure the status of Lino but I think they’ll want to see some more minutes from him before he gets a look at the No.6

One point I haven’t seen anyone bring up (might have missed it) is how poor our kicking game was against Canberra. Junior has a decent long kicking game but he’s never really been known for having a good short kicking game.

KP is starting to kick more but he’s hit or miss at the moment, which doesn’t help Junior considering Levi, Watson & Mann can’t kick for **** either.

Can’t say with any confidence whether or not Lino has a good short kicking game so I’ll hold judgment until I see more of him, but I think when looking at who should play 5/8, kicking should be one of first things we look at.

Junior would benefit dearly having someone else doing some kicking I reckon, plus we need more repeat sets.

better bloody learn to tackle 'cos the Dragons are a lot more potent than the Raiders, and look what they did to us

Honestly, I've supported Brown for some time, but he makes some ridiculous selection calls frankly. How can Sione keep his place in the run-on side after last week's performance, and King is in the 17 also? Both seem like top blokes, but they offer nothing substantial in attack or defence. For mine, I'd swap them straight out for Jones and Ese'ese.
