I'm smiling here watching the effort, we took it to the premiers and too only lose by 8 is a damn good game from us. Players out and others playing in unfamiliar places. Next year should be a goer if we get no injuries(touch wood)
 
First 25 was terrible. Did very well for the rest of the game. Effort was terrific but Cronulla were too good. Peranara'a blind hatred for us didn't help either. Fitzy, Sio, Ross and Levi were our best. Solid debut from Amey as well.
 
Under the circumstances I'm very happy with the boys today we have got better and better through the season and we are looking good for more improvement next season ...
We may not make the 8 next season but we wont be last imo Brown has done a good job with young guys that weren't ready for 1st grade 1 or 2 good 1st grade props on top of the guys we have and the ones we've signed will make a huge difference ...Loving summer coming but cant wait for next season ....

Yeah good showing fair to say I think Sharks are done for the year don't look like they can threaten Melbourne

I'm a bit sad it's over. I've been enjoying watching the improvement in the team. Yeh there's been blow outs, but nothing like last year & this year most teams have gone home, regardless of score, knowing they'd been in a game.
At least I'll have some good memories of this year to keep me smiling over the off season

this season has really been one of growth. even the top sides have had to turn up to play if they wanted to beat us. yes they've still beaten us most of the time, but at least it's been an effort for them for the most part. time to put the wooden spoons behind us and move onwards and upwards!

enjoy you're mad monday boys! and try not to get into to much trouble! :lol:
 
Geez some are harsh on our players. Cogger I thought went fairly well considering he is partnered with a tent peg for a half. I thought he looked good running the ball at the line and thought a few times he could have dummied and had a good chance of breaking through the line.

Trent was his usual boat anchor, forwards I thought did well, Fitzy especially, the new boy Amey went well for 70 ARM from his 30 minutes, and a try assist.

Proud of the team, and proud of the year given last year.

If at the end of last year we were given our current year as an outcome, with recruitment results etc I am sure we all would have jumped at it.

Roll on 2018.

Yeah, but he deserves it. Maybe I should have wrote "unfairly harsh on our players".

Fairness is in the mind of the author I suppose.
 
All I can say is I'm glad another morbid season is over and we can move on. But gee it's going to be a depressing 6 months ahead without footy.

Being experienced, highly paid and a supposed leader means that he should be treated more harshly. A young kid with less than 10 First Grade games (only his 2nd of the year) and coming back from a pretty serious injury rightfully deserves a bit of leeway.
