Just shows how far we truly have to go. 2 years ago I'd have happily taken 9th spot knowing how steep the mountain we had to climb was.

There were a few bad calls but knights need no help in losing a game.

There were super obvious home team calls that influenced the refs and today was no different but there was nothing terrible aside from the usual iffy stuff.

I wouldn't read too much into this game. No excuses by any means for this week, but I think we played our last game last week. It was a dead rubber game away from home.

Sione injured and Mann not a quality centre. Lino and Barnett defence was abysmal. All that said, we have a quality roster with a few additions and I think Obi will be keen to rip in once and however the Roosters' season finishes.

I actually thought we got the better end of the refs. We got a lot of soft penalties, And Hermans try not going to video ref was very lucky.

After that last effort and a few other games during the season (Tigers, Titans earlier in the season, etc), the team should be required to be back at training today to prepare for March 2020. We certainly need it.

Yep as of the 1st of November I'll be having my annual hiatus until Feb.

Super exciting off season coming up.
A rookie coach with a lot of new ideas and a young and promising squad, with a fair number of top quality players as well.
If we have let Buhrer, SKD, Guerra, Levi, Eseese and Griffin go - and probably others we haven't heard about yet - there is money to buy the experienced half we need.
We only know who the head coach is, so it will be interesting to find out who the assistant coaches and lower grade coaches are.

My opinion is that Brown has put together a very good squad of talented young players, but his style of coaching is not suited to putting the polish on young players, so most of them haven't risen to their potential under him. Some assistant coaches like Brennan, Lowrie or Ciraldo with a proven record of developing young players would be good.

Knights prop David Klemmer has been charged with contrary conduct after he was found to have abused an NRL match official during Newcastle's heavy loss at Penrith on Sunday.

Klemmer was handed a grade-one offence for the 75th-minute incident which incurs a $1500 fine, which can be reduced to $1150 if he submits an early guilty plea.
