Interesting that Bunnies have now jumped us. Dogs next week, do you think they rest players against the Roosters in the final round or try to secure a home final.
 
It back fired horrendously having them all on together . It’s why his been hesitant to do it for a long time . We need that impact off the bench but we need more lateral movement in the defence line

Needed the impact at the start. When they went off is when you steadied the ship. They got rolled while on.
 
The only way we will be up to a level to challenge sides like that next year will be if we can medically retire Pearce and spend his million dollars on a playmaker worth a million dollars.

Don’t think there are much alternatives to Pearce unfortunately. That said, maybe we don’t need a million dollar half. We could use a $500k half and $500k 5/8th and perhaps do better than we are currently.
 
Just finished watching the game on replay
Our Forwards got absolutely dominated, we allowed too many offloads and our middle got carved up.

Pearce and Lino had a shocker of a game. Surely we have a better option than Lino.

Tex Hoy looked so dangerous with ball in hand, almost sliced through the line on a few occasions. I think we need to find a spot for him in the 17. Too good to leave out.

Lee had a great game and Sione was great on return.
 
Coach had very little to say.
He did say the only player missing next week will be Bradman, so we are the closest to full strength we have been this year.

Was a very ordinary performance by most/all, Hoy isn’t Ponga, Hunt should be back, need Best, Lino and Pearce MIA, starting Forwards was not a winner Why wouldn’t you have 2 out of 3, Klem, Dan and Jacob On field at all time.
Is it just my bias but does Mann throw a lot of passes that receivers have to stop/slow and take prior to line, Randall passed better, forwards need to receive ball and maintain momentum. Offloads ?. Roosters played very well we played very ordinary. Pearce/Lino kicked very ordinary, no variation, attack was poor. Thought our fwds would dominate but they would in backs got it half right.
We are in the semi’s but not hopeful, Best team in, best effort made, best result is might get past first round, unfortunately with what we have I can’t see a fix it, we have a problem at 7 & 6, it isn’t working and doesn’t seem likely.
Ponga, Barnett and Hunt will improve the side but none of them play 6 or 7, radical changes required or no result
 
I was surprised the coach said he was happy with To'a.
Not that i'm unhappy with To'a, because I think he's a very inexperienced kid who has made the most progress I've ever seen from a player over the last few years, but I think his inexperience in defence was pretty obvious tonight and Shiba wasn't able to cover for him as well as Tuala has in previous weeks.
He'll be better, and hard to keep out of the side, next year.

We have a dummy half go for a scoot and nobody in support, our halves and fullback are still in the line waiting for the next play.
