To me it looked like Sione got some boot studs to the face and one got his eye.
Hopefully it's just a scratch or something.
 
worst case would be detached retina, which would be season ending and maybe career ending - but hopefully it isn't that.

I just seen that. King missed the same bloke from the kick off. Obviously a slow learner. On another matter how possibly could the bunker rule on side so quick in Parra's try from a kick ? Looked off side from the Windale angle.
 
Geez what a tense finish. When we sealed the win the crowd was ecstatic, I felt relief more than anything else.

What in the hell Brown is doing with his bench I have no idea. You don't pick a winger to sit on the bench for 70 minutes, I question whether Ross was going to get on the field at all except for the Sione injury. If that was the play then why not take Denniss out of the side, and start Ross, get an extra bigger body on the bench, oh I dunno, Yates seems to do well, or that new guy Felise.

Big ups to Levi, that performance at hooker is well better than any performance put in by Griffin at hooker all year. Quick service from dummy half, smart ball running and got their D on the back foot often. I made a statement that if Brown gave the hooking role to Levi instead of Griffin it would have been Levi selected for NZ for the Denver test and drew ridicule. How quickly some forget Levi's quality and jump on the new guy bandwagon.

Griffin can pass the ball, albeit with a bit of a pause each time, but he isn't damaging to the opposition like Levi.

Good to get the win, thank god Pearce is back and his kicking game is game changing for us. Winning the game by an inch isn't the best win, but 2 points is 2 points.
 
Gotta give props to SKD aswell. The guy is abit of an unsung hero. Makes really valuable metres coming out of our half and almost always gets a quick play the ball.

Abit sad that he makes the occasional shocker because that’s what people seem to remember the most.
 
So Ponga seemed hopeful of being back soon. I know we won't make the finals but damn it would be nice to double our win tally from last year, people will start to move on from us being the easy beats

I didn't think he was that bad, but that was probably more on Pearce though he threw some great balls to put Dennis into a few holes.
I am salivating at the thought of that being ramien next year.
 
We are only 6 points out of 8 qith a good fixture coming. If we can win 4 of last 6 which is possible with Titans, Cowboys, Tigers, Warriors, Panthers, Sharks, Dragons to come anything is possible

Fair summation Lockwire - Esse, SKD and DSaf need special mention as well and Meeney made a reasonable first up impression too.
We seem to lack that “1,2 punch “ ( 1,2,3 would be better , but little steps ) in the forwards, they appear to run hard and straight in isolation then go sideways with a pass before the line without penetration, we need more size and commitment from the pack
