I don't think Lee will be ready round 1. See if he is named in trials. Otherwise Young given the raps I've read on here.

1. Kalyn Ponga - Controversial I know but I’m prepared to stick my neck out on this one.
2. Dominic Young - I think Adzy’s high as hell on him.
3. Dane Gagai - Picks himself.
4. Bradman Best - Ditto.
5. Hymel Hunt - Just been too consistent for us for too long to leave out, need his defence.
6. Adam Clune - Doesn’t really matter what numbers are on the back except psychologically.
7. Jake Clifford - Want him thinking “I’m the conductor, this is my team.”
8. Jacob Saifiti - Twin Saifitis up front got us our best starts.
9. Chris Randall - Deserves a crack at holding down that backup 9 spot.
10. Daniel Saifiti - See Jacob Saifiti.
11. Tyson Frizell - Expecting big things from this boom rookie.
12. Mitchell Barnett - I like him more in the middle but he’s also probably our best option on the left edge. Just need to pick him in a spot and keep him there, and utilise his passing a bit more wherever he is.
13. Brodie Jones - Has voiced a preference for playing lock and I am absolutely not buying Kurt Mann as a starting 13. I want a harder nut & all effort defender starting games.

14. Kurt Mann - This is his best role. Covers anywhere in the lineup except prop, and you expect a player or two to get injured almost every game.
15. David Klemmer - Self-explanatory.
16. Jirah Momoisea - Caught my eye the most out of our up & coming forwards.
17. Simi Sasagi - Adzy habitually has a bench guy who he only gives ten minutes or so to unless his hand is forced by injury, so you might as well pick another ball-playing middle & utility option IMO.

It's not a great idea to carry only one prop on the bench though. If Mann is going to play back row, then you probably have to leave Jones or Fitzgibbon out. Or you could carry 4 forwards and consider Mann both the lock and utility, much like Watson was last year.

I've gotta say it's a bit of a poor effort that Clune is going to be our starting halfback for 2022. He was a reserve grade signing, supposed to be as a back up. Then Pearce left so Clune had to fill the void for pre-season which is fair enough. But it always felt like that it was just in the mean time and the club would get someone. But now here we are, about to go into the season proper, left with Clune as the first choice half?

Yep and I'm ok with it. Let him play some games in Knights colours before you start call him a "reserve grader"

IF Milford beats his charge he will replace Clune in the halves.

Milf was in good form towards the back-end of last season (after signing for Souths). From reports he has dropped a fair bit of weight with personalised high intensity training sessions. Milford remains one of the most talented play makers in the comp, people seem to forget what he can do, and he's only 27. I've long thought that he was about 5kgs too heavy since about 2015 and it has impacted his preferred playing style--being nimble. Notwithstanding a gross negligence to effort and professionalism over that period.
