Article in the Herald quotes Jefferies as saying Sidney Taylor has played League before, but he doesn't say when and where.
He also says Vette-Welsh and White had been battling for the fullback spot for 7 weeks in training, and all the coaches agreed to go with White, who he said is 20 still, which surprizes me because she seems to have been around for years.

Attack is clunky but physicality and commitment has been awesome. Running and tackling much harder than the Sharks. Won't matter if we can't turn it into points eventually.

Outside backs as a whole have been strong but Taulelei-Siala in particular looks like she might be a find.
 
Yas flying in on Kiria-ratu every time she kicks is scaring me she’ll take her out badly

Roche needs to link up with Yas, she’s a good ball player use it
 
Watching in delay, but interesting to hear Sami Bremner try to explain that it's not going to be a 2 horse race. Yet she only mentions one other team. I hope I'm not right but I think the NRL have allowed the Roosters and Broncos to become so stacked that the competition will suffer.

It’s a joke the NRL has done nothing to address it. How do they expect the comp to grow when the fans of all the other clubs know they have no chance before a ball is even kicked.

They need to introduce the marquee player allowances again. Each club should get to sign two players outside the cap. That’s how the Knights got Tamika and Millie and it’s the only way to spread the talent more evenly
 
They need to come out just as fast and hard again, and maybe convert a few of those chances.

I was really worried the Johnsons would smash us, but it's the other way around.

Jefferies has them fit at least.

lol it was Roache that ended up doing the dumb tackle 🤦‍♀️

We look better than I expected. We thought their middles might kill us but they’ve been good in yardage and contained them pretty well.

Clunky but that’s not too surprising. Really should’ve bagged at least another try while they were down to 12

Hopefully all that defence will leave the sharks fatigued in the second half and we can run over the top of them

Great idea but it would never get through. The two big clubs with all the $$$ would block it. Only when the attendance drops and that affects their income will something possibly get done.

They had it before, no reason not to bring it back. No point sacrificing the whole comp so only 2 teams are in contention, nobody will bother supporting it
