A few I don’t mind to be honest Ata would also be my first choice but Lahrs is a u19 origin rep, Lindsay Smith would be great, Tuku Hau Tapuha, I also rate Sam McIntyre.

But like I said I would love to see Ata here but a few to pick from if he is unavailable
 
I see Mitch Henderson and Jasmin Strange are running a kids skills programme.
Mitch is calling himself a Knights player, so I assume he's in the part time squad and will play NSW cup.
I'm surprised we haven't seen him training with firstgrade with all the halves we've had out before Christmas.
 
My concern with knights signing brown, smith, ponga, sharpe reasonably long term is we seem to have locked ourself into not having an elite long kicking game which despite other strengths may be a barrier to us being a top 4 team.

Yep we don’t have a long kicker to get us out of trouble if we a pegged down in the 30m zone.

Its a massive problem. Sandon cannot be the kicker he kicks it as far as I do. Legit worse than Cogger.

Holbrook needs to have a system going between Ponga, Brown and Crossland (standing at first receiver) where one of these three are always ready to launch it on the 5th.

A good long kicking game is probably worth an extra $1.5m in your forward pack. Totally arbitrary comparison but its probably not far off

Kicking from hooker is the best place, automatically puts everyone onside. Hookers
kick way more than locks. Can’t think of any locks that kick.

Cam Smith did plenty of kicking. Unfortunately Phoenix doesn’t have Smiths brain or footy iq or situational awareness but he does have a decent size boot

He gets some decent kicks away from hooker tbf, agree hooker is a good mix up, too. Though, Crossy seems to kick from 9 at his discretion, and its often 4th tackle, maybe once a game.

If he's playing 13 wouldnt mind him rocketing one down the other end as often as Brown or Sandon might
