That was almost 1/4 of a century ago! If people don’t grow and evolve and mature in almost 25 years, or any amount of time then they’d wanna give it all up.

I don’t think POS is going to sign Molo or waste a spot. My understanding it’s a youth and development policy at the club. I think you will find the cash we do have will be spend on spine players. Ps I think Bradman bear may have to take a pay cut when his contract is up as we have some gun centres coming through. POS has done a great job bringing elite talent to the club.

We’ve, Winter and Wil Manning - a personal favorite are 3 very good centre prospects. Braddy should embrace being a local leader. Also needs to get those hamstrings sorted. Not paying anything over 750k for dodgy Hammies.

750K for Best is actually reasonable. Arguably a top 3 centre in the comp. Losing Best would be a disaster. How long is he signed for?

I haven’t seen much of him, but many ppl rate De Courcey aswell. Or is he more of a winger? We aren’t short on Gagai replacements that’s for sure.

His defence is pretty rough at centre, which can improve, but he’s better suited at wing. Though even so he’l have Latu - height advantage and Gow - supreme speed - going against him. Wilson’s best attribute is he’s seriously aggressive in attack. Just back himself in a lot of moments.

If you don’t want a prop because of how he acted in a lower division than you just don’t want a single prop in the history of the game.

This mentality holds us back “oh he did something I don’t like therefore I don’t want him at all” and while I’ll understand if it was something horrendous.

And I’m glad it’s not the way POS looks at signings

I’m not the only one that disliked his repeated dangerous actions. (Would’ve posted the article but know that’s against forum policy but it can be found in that thread)

From what I understand that was due to a shoulder charge something 99.99% of NRL players have done even since the ban.

It was deemed as a “tragic accident” it is horrible that someone died obviously but someone could also die from a head high tackle theoretically so does that mean we shouldn’t go for anyone that has done that? In which case about 29 of our top 30 will have to leave the club.

Is it dangerous yes, is extremely saddening and unfortunate also yes, is it a reason to not sign him despite almost all NRL players doing it? No it isn’t.

The guy that give Dark that concussion that lead to him passing, is he deemed a killer?

But if your view is that he accidentally killed someone because of a shoulder charge than that is a reason to not sign him, that by all means that’s your view, but keep that same energy to all the other players that shoulder charge as well as give high shots, all those people could have killed and even might one day if they are unfortunate so we should get rid of them as well.

I would say he feels really bad about it and would never have expected that as a outcome, I don’t believe a unfortunate accident should be a reason into why we don’t sign him, if it was intentional I would 1000% understand but this wasn’t intentional

It’s his actions in the game against the Sunshine Coast falcons in his return game against them where he was penalised twice in 22 minutes for 2 shoulder charge attempts then getting into a brawl that is what was truly disgraceful.
We can agree to disagree as to whether he is a liability or not.

His brother is supposedly on a train and trial at the titans if so that’s where he’ll end up. I believe that’s the only reason any club signed him on the promise of what his brother could be.
 
Pass on molo for me. Would be happy to see him do well elsewhere. It was a banned tackle which was done intentionally and resulted in death. The two shoulder charges against the same team following his return were very poor form. While he wouldn’t have wanted the other guy to die, I don’t buy the “it was an accident” or “we shouldn’t sign anyone who has ever done a shoulder charge if we don’t sign molo” logic. It was an intentional banned tackle which carried a high risk.

If I went drink driving and got caught I’d be without a license for a few months. If I did it and crashed into a family I’m likely in jail. If I kept doing it after that happened I’d probably have my boss thinking “do I really want to employ this guy”. I think the impact can and did carry weight in determining consequences. Molo has received these consequences and is back in the game, but not someone we should be looking to sign in my opinion.

Apparently Kingston Seve is on north of $200k in 2027, and it doubles in 28'

Apparently also there's some concern within the club about the kid himself, regarding his behaviour and being asked to leave (expelled) from previous schools. Sulli was anxious to get the kid into training with FG to begin correcting these things.
