SEN stated in a show that since Best has played, he's averaged 16 games over 7 seasons. 23 season being the only season he's played over 20 games. I did a little research and KP has the same average over 9 years with the club. Admittedly KP has more of an effect on games/results and it's just the case, not every player is going to earn his true $$ value at one club.
If we manage to make it work that we can resign Braddy and Dom for 2-3 more seasons and in the end lose Hunt and Frizell over it, then I can live with it. Having those two on board whilst we try and blow the doors down on a premiership with this attack in next few seasons, with KP and Lucas also locked up would be immense. After that period the timing would be perfect for a Nonu/Gow to replace Dom and a Malachi/Baxter Best replacing Braddy.
With the Cap rising exponentially in 28, I'm generally unsure what we can offer players, however I am sure the club is relying on replacing top line players with top line juniors and that's in every position. I don't see the club making a play for a big name player for some time, the confidence is in the junior production to continue replacing from within.
Obviously the biggest resigning's coming up will be Sharpe, Hopwood and Manuleleua and neither of those can be risked losing over Best or Dom, in my opinion
