Pre-season challenge - R2 - Knights V Parra - Friday 17th Feb, 5.55pm Gosford Stadium

So positive signs out of that 40. Attack will get better with time but we looked better than last year. Very impressed with Miller.

Did not look out of our depth up against a grand final team despite having an all new spine.
Agreed, also Safs have been great the last 2 weeks. Friz is back to playing some good footy..

Not so good, our left edge defensively looks really fragile.

Ponga Is the worry though.

When he was at Fullback and didn't want to show up that was fine because he was tke last line of defence so the blame could be shifted elsewhere.

I'm scared teams are going to burn him out and just keep running at him, he will end useless on the field should (and they will) teams do exactly that.
I thought he was good in the first 20 or so but will take time to get used to the workload. Put Fitz and Elliott next to him and he will be fine.

We don't have much to look forward to for the first half of the year that's for sure...

This is very close to full strength and our D is useless
our middle has won that battle imo, our right side has handled everything, its a left edge issue mainly ponga playing to tight and struggling with the pace thats required.

i know you cant see positives but im impressed with our middle yardage bith sides of the ball and our attack in general. crisp, high energy and directed attack. i can also see jack johns on the cusp of the 17, could really be an attacking backrow option off the bench.

Leo looks like the pre-season has done him well.
Friz strong and injury free.
Best looks fit and fast.
Safs doing what they need to do.
Miller looks good with ball in hand but get driven back.
Mann will be an awesome 13 in NSW Cup.
Marzhew can't defend.
Hastings and Pinga will improve with time together (I hope).

I agree with everything you said here would like to see a bit more second phase play

What positives has this team offered in the last decade?

No rules you have to be positive

I assume they will rest players now
Bit off track from the footy
But yes there are no rules saying you have to be positive and it has been scientifically proven that pessimists are actually closer to the truth than optimists and are generally more intelligient.

But in saying that personally i am more a realist sometimes a bit pessimistic but try to be consicious of my thoughts and think more postive because as others have mentioned you will probaly live longer, be healthier and have better enjoyment from life.

Sorry about the rant. But thought it might help.

Of course we have positives

Forwards are pretty dominate

We have a spine finally

But also same demons haunt us
