Pearce to the Dogs ?

Letting Pearce go would be incredibly dumb.
I was as critical as anyone of him to start the year but his worth doesn't show up on the stat sheet. No (C) next to his name but he's the only one in the squad that gets them to have a proper go for 80 minutes.

If we sign Ash Taylor and let Pearce go they can book their bali holidays in September next year, cause we won't be playing finals
I can’t like this enough. Unless we get another top line hb he is our man if we have a proper 5/8 outside him.

We don't need Pearce getting to his kick. Clifford should be doing the vast majority of kicking, he is miles and miles better than Pearce at it.

Other than his attitude and commitment to winning a game of footy, Pearce doesn't offer a lot.
If half the team had Pearce's want and will to win we would be sitting at #1.

Is something not right, are we not being told the real facts.
Watson leaving, King leaving, talk of Pearce being considered elsewhere, Ponga in poor form, for him, coincidence at the pointy end of the season or just unrelated incidents
Ponga, Pearce and Brailey playing with injuries? causing a form slump.
I am concerned with our form and our ability to attack and put sides away, isn’t going to get better this week against Titans, no DSaf or Klemmer but Frizell back but a game we would be best winning
Our starting props are likely King and JSaf, he had a poor game last one, with Sue and either Momoisea or Saulo on bench both short of a gallop

Article points out that Pearce was under contract with the Roosters and was given a release to join the Knights.
Also says Gardener and Ricky Stuart have both been asked directly if he could move, and both gave non-committed answers (we don't comment on speculation).
When we sign up a better half and ask him to play off the bench then we can give him a release

pierce going doggy style prob made it easier for the roosters release.

Pearce will be 33 next year. Ideally we would keep him for next year for one more run around but if Catalans, dogs, etc will offer him a 3 year deal good luck to them..

He reminded me of green when he got into space Vs the dogs

To be fair, he knew he wasn't going to run 80 and was trying to find a way to link with someone who could when he got in space. I don't think he pinned the ears back and ran hard.
On the other hand, last year they were doing sprints at training and the photo that showed his sprint had Crossland and Ponga fighting for the win, so far ahead of Pearce and Lino that I thought they might be in a different race for a while.

Talking of speed - the Best try against Canterbury - I noticed he got the ball in a position where Nick Meaney had a good angle to intercept him and it looked like a fair race to me. Meaney is a lot faster than most people give him credit for, but Best barely had to change his line to burn off Meaney. We don't get Best into space nearly as often as we should.

I can’t wait to watch Meaney at Melbourne. I’m thinking he will play Nichoes role or at least it’s there for him to lose

We clearly lack leadership and direction without Pearce on the field.

I don't see any player that can replace that next year.
Yeah it seems you can't please some knights fans. Won 4 in a row not good enough. Have the best half-back since joey not good enough. Obviously we should constantly improve and we need to but we are in a lot better position then a few years ago.
