Pearce Replacement

Milford still has something, his last half of the season was very decent trying to get a new deal. But he will have zero reason to put in for a few months at the Knights with his next deal already lined up

No mate i just read it somewhere you read so much but it said something like ... Milf has to play 1st grade somewhere this season to be signed as the Dolphins (Bennett mostly id guess) dont want him sitting out for a season before he signs with them.
 
Your right Ethan, read same but don’t know what happens if court case drags on and he doesn’t play 1sts this coming season. Think he would still go to Dolphins if cleared to play 2023, age wise he has a few years left and if not Dolphins I am sure someone will sign him but likely at a reduced rate.

Yeah your probably right there. Maybe if he has to sit out a year and the Dolphins say no too signing him because they told him it would happen , then we sign him at the reduced rate for 2 or 3 years lol.
 
How much could we possibly be paying him to play? Can’t be too much, maybe 250k. Worst case is he stinks it up and doesn’t get a run…
 
And Pushes Clune , Crossland and Sasagi harder, or he comes here on a fairly small contract and plays his best in which case with Clifford more than likely playing better footy than last season (and he played some good footy last season for us) Ponga fit and raring to go with Milf at his best were a top 4 or 5 team..
I think IF we get Milf and cheap it has the potential to be the buy of the season and i think he will give his best IF we sign him ..

As far as the 9 goes i watched Randall play again and imo we will lose very little until Brailey comes back .

We have a Fb that can do almost anything , a back line that can and should terrorize teams. We have the pack to be going forward against anyone and if Milf and Clifford are playing well Oh boy id give my left one to see that .

On the other hand i wouldn't be suprised and im hoping that Clune takes it with both hands.
From what ive read and heard he has all the skills and people weren't happy he left and came here .I cant wait, I want to see who starts and where.
I want them to play to there potential which imo should scare the crap out of a lot more fancied teams and that's with Clune not Milf .
Call me optomitic , tell me i have rose coloured glasses on i don't care . We have a talented young team and anything is possible and if they play well is very possible , they have the talent to do it .

I do read absolute 'best case scenario' on what we might produce this year....and I'm not sure our luck will EVER play out that well.

But I do also think the other factor that potentially impacts on how our season plays out, that isn't being mentioned as much as I thought it would, is the sort of influence the coaching group (read Joey in particular) may have on our individual player and overall strategic game development this year.

Between his footy brain, his passion for the club and his no nonsense expectation of giving 100% effort and execution ALL OF THE TIME, his potential influence on getting the absolute best out of this squad shouldn't be discounted - I know he's not the head coach but I expect Adz is going to give him a fair degree of latitude in driving expectations and accountability on performance and that can only help this relatively young squad.
 
With covid going around, we'll use every player on our 30 man roster, so the 4 spots we have need to go to firstgrade ready players. We need Milford and 3 more 150 gamers if we can find them.
