Official: Knights sign Tautau Moga and Herman Ese'ese

We can assume ese'ese has signed and been hit by our injury curse already. Serious knee injury in Qcup today i just read.

A great half and a great prop will add a lot more than 7 fringe guys.

Billy - you are right on the money here , there are enough players in the current roster with talent and potential, they just need experience , leadership and on field direction.

I don't know Member but if he isn't there and Bennett really has pulled his offer then you would have to think so hey and probably the same with Moga as he isn't there and I haven't heard anything about him resigning with the Bronco's ...

That list is from Zero tackle, I've been checking it all year Ese'Ese hasn't been on it at all this year. It's not an offical list and isn't 100% accurate either .....

COOPER Cronk has been coy about his playing future but Phil “Buzz” Rothfield has revealed the Sharks are seriously eyeing the Storm star.

The revelation comes on the back of chatter that Cronulla five-eighth James Maloney is looking for a top-up on his $600,000 a year contract.

It’s believed the Knights have made a major play for Maloney and could table a deal worth $1 million dollars a season.

The deal hangs on Shane Flanagan’s ability to convince Cooper Cronk to move to the shire.

“If Cronulla can get him [Cronk] Maloney will be released to go to Newcastle, which I think would be great for the game,” Phil Rothfield said on the Monday Bunker.

“I don’t necessarily agree that 18 months into a three-year deal that he now wants out but I can understand the Knights would be offering him a million dollars and he’s on about $600,000 at Cronulla.

“But Shane Flanagan can’t release him until he has a commitment from Cronk.

“I do know Flanno rings his [Cronk’s] manager George Mimis once a week. I would say it is probably 50/50.”

I really can't see Cronk turning down $800k-$1 million a season he'll be lucky to make a 1/3 of that in the media and as a halfs consultant.

Malone has us as a 5-8th team if we get Esse and Moga on top of our existing team if we can add just one more prop.
 
I tend to agree that Cronk seems more likely to retire than go to the sharks but Maloney would be an outstanding signing, his a winner and can close out a game. Some might think this is overly optimistic but take our last 6 weeks of football we had games against Manly, Penrith, Canterbury and Saint George that we should have won but failed to close out that is 8 competition points their is also games like the warriors, Souths and even the first game against the dogs which we gave up halftime leads and failed to close out. If we win just half those games we are no where near the spoon and a lot closer to finals footy, personally I think Maloney with the additions of Guerra, SKD, Moga, Ese'ese,Ponga plus another forward we are capable of playing finals footy but without Maloney or an experienced half we will still struggle to close out games.
 
Latu would be a very good signing especially with Ese'ese. It would give us a good front row rotation in Latu, Ese'ese and the Saifiti brothers pretty handy forward pack when you add Guerra, Buhrer, Sione and Barnett in their too.
 
Leilani Latu I just read his wiki profile says 6'3" and 120kg and the link said he has asked for a release to join another club next year Daniel , Latu , Ese,ese and Jacob that would do ...

Honestly?

Until i see him play vs people his own size aka cup or nrl id not offer anymore then 150k.

Pauli use to be like that when he was 7inches taller and 20kg bigger then anyone on the field.
Payne has tallent though.
Hard thing is not giving him the world before he has EARNT it.

Dont know why I would have a hard on mate Ese,ese has proven himself in 1st grade this guy hasn't and 88 is right about PauliPauli also Mose Masoe was just like this kid too and look what he has done zip , nada and if Hass is so good why have the Bronco's bought from England ....
Also if we don't sign Ese,ese for more than he was getting at the bronco,s how exactly do we get him to leave and come here or do we just not sign anyone.....
I wouldn't offer Payne anything mate we need more experienced Props ...Another thing everyone on here knows I only get a hard on over big centre's mate or don't you read ......I bet you've smelt a lot of blokes hard ons lol .....
