Official: Knights sign David Klemmer for 5 years

Yesssssssssssssssssssss!! This is huge. Love it. What a force we will be next year. I think we could have an honest crack at the top 4 if injuries are kind to us and we get a consistent spine locked in. And as Pearce has said, Klemmer is going to demand and drive his effort level as the new baseline. Could see Safiti’s really lift. And then there is Ese Ese and Glasby. No more free rides. The best more aggressive consistent performers only. That’s a message I cannot wait to see the response to!

I put $50 on top 4 when the speculation on Klemmer began. Odds were at $5.50, now $5. Not much movement in terms of $$$$, but a decrease of 9.1% is a shift. Just from this news. Can see that firming more over the coming months. Also, interesting to see Kalyn a firm Daly M favorite at $9 and Knights slightly off Sharks at $2.05 (the latter $1.90). All on Bet Easy.

I don't mean our top tier guys yes they will get tpa I'm talking cup emerging players. They will take unders to be at a strong development club.

Hunt and woolford would have got close to base rate. Woolford wasn't even in the dogs top 30 last year. Gavet might have got a bit more to get him over the ditch.
 
I'm (extremely pleasantly) stunned at what we have achieved recruitment wise in the past couple of years. Seriously blown away. All those involved need massive kudos.
 
What great news! Can you imagine us signing this level of player at any other time over the last 30 years?

Anything other than a top 8 finish is a failure and I can see us improving and playing our best football towards the end of the year. Cannot wait for the season to start.
 
If we can stay fit (which invariably won't happen) we're definitely 4-8.

Then come home like Universal Prince used to do :cheer:
 
My prediction-
Finals footy next year, gain experience
Finals 2020, go deep but not all the way & really learn what it takes to be a premiership team
Finals 2021, win the comp & celebrate the premiership on our 20th anniversary since the last, perfect timing.
Then be the first team since ****** Wayne to go back to back....

Aahhh, dare to dream!
