Official: Jack Cogger signs with the Bulldogs

Good luck to him, his not ready to be a week to week NRL player and I hope the bulldogs don’t expect that of him and give him time to develop. Foran is not exactly been taking pressure off his halves partners the last few seasons, he was very good the first six weeks last season but than really struggled.
 
Has signed for 2019-20 so might still be with us this year, hope so, give us time to sort the side out and takes pressure of if injuries occur.
Think he will go well at dogs, got a big mature pack in front of him, wish him well even if he goes this year.

I totally agree. Why help the Bulldogs by granting him a release. He's signed with us for 2018 and there is no guarantee that he won't be needed , if injuries occur. The only way Brown should entertain this release is if they're willing for a player swap.
 
The only problem is, we wouldnt benefit from taking anything less than a marquee player. And the dogs probably wouldn't swap anything more than a fringe FG'r
 
if he wants out then let him go! no point having someone at the club if they dont want to be here. If he is happy to stay and play out the year then great!
 
He plays and performs or sits on bench for reserves, won't do his resume much good. If he is half the player/person that he appears he will give us is all for 2018 and prepare himself for beyond. I want him to stay unless we get a very good deal/swap.
2018 will be better if we keep all the players we have covering all positions with strength, let's get through it and look to make huge improvements.
 
Holland is like Ross in that he could keep improving till his late 20s.
At 23 he was playing for Singleton greyhounds.
He was way off the pace when he got a game for the Knights reserve grade and it wasn't till halfway through the season that he started to look good.
He has had 2 seasons at Canterbury and keeps getting better.
He's 25, but has had about as much proper coaching and experience as some of our NYC players.
I wouldn't rush out to buy him, but he could easily improve for another 3 years.
