Jamie Soward looks like he injured his hammy, don't know how serious the injury is yet. If he is out of SOO 3 it would be interesting to see who will play 5/8. Sticky has said that Hayne should be 5/8 but i think Greg Bird got MOTM in a game playing 5/8, then there is Kidley?

If Soward proves to be unfit, I'm going to make a wild prediction from left field that Anasta will receive a late call up to the team, similar to what Finch did in 06'.

- He and Pearce have played in the halves together many of times before
- He has plenty of big match experience
- Won a grand final at 5/8th with a lot of success there
- Sticky and Gus both love him

Some possible combinations:

7. Pearce

6. Gidley
7. Pearce

6. Bird
7. Pearce

6. Lewis
7. Pearce
 
With Soward possibly out, i have lost all confidence. I'm usually a much more positive person, but Soward has been just sensational, the key to our success imo.

Carney has the X-factor. I don't care what you say about his ability.

All I think he needs is an atmosphere and emotional cauldron like Origin to stir him up and get him involved. At the moment, the Roosters are playing as if they don't want to be there and I think it's rubbing off on him.
 
Well he has the ability for sure, we saw that last year. I guess just not the confidence or willingness atm. Pieguyfly, you might just be right about Origin stirring him up.

Same thing with Jennings. Was in a mediocre side and not showing much, but stepped it up for Origin. And Uate wasn't playing bad at all, but ever since he's been to the first game, he's got an extra spring in his step, even if he isn't in a try scoring bonanza.
 
id put hayne there if he's not fit atm. At least he can boot the crap out of the ball if we get no go forward and he's going to create things. pearce 7 hayne 6 mini 1
and hope for the best. if mullen wasn't injured i wouldn't be as worried but that still doesn't fix our goal kicking problem.
