I have to say, for pretty much the only change, Bird is a strange option at 5/8. I don't see him as a long-term solution there for NSW.

The bunch of old hopeless guys still there is crazy - Hindmarsh and Ryan should have been gone. Surprised that Farrah didn't get a go on the bench. Well done for Gidley getting back in there, but I pray he isn't used at hooker again, or with 20 left!!!

So the NSW selectors threats were hollow, how pathetic. They put the side before origin 2 under all that additional pressure for no reason.
 
He doesn't even play in the halves at Cronulla..
I reckon Mullen deserved it, but i don't care one bit. We need him at Newcastle :)

Jamie Lyon? Jamie ****ing Lyon? ARRRRGGGGGH! Did he not prove in game 2 that he is useless and fat and a waste of space in rep football? Matt King? He shouldnt be there! Serious the selectors are in la la land! Do they not care about game 3? Queensland 3-0 for sure!
 
I disagree. Matt King should definitely be there. HOWEVER, he should be in the team as a centre. Kick Lyon out, he is hopeless. Then get Growthe or El Masri on the wing. Probably Growthe
 
I think Ben Smith should be in the centres, hes been playing awesome lately and get Grothe as his winger. Anything would be a better combo than Lyon and King.
 
Yeh take Lyon out for sure, King in the centers.
That means I reckon El Masri on the wing, mainly because he is a good goal kicker.
 
Yeah I agree El Marsi is a brilliant goal kicker but I just don't think he is right for origin, because of his size but also because he is a bit suspect under high balls. Under pressure he either misses them or a bigger player just beats him. That is y I would axe Lyon, who should never have been in there in the first place, but King to the centres and then put Grothe to the wing. and Mullen 2 5/8th
 
King to centre I guess. I'd have given Luke Lewis the match, he deserves a recall. Always plays well, although being in the useless Penrith side doesn't help him.
 
An absolute **** house team from what could be only called **** house selectors. Why not Blood young players, It does not matter who wins!
5/8 is a joke, Why did Mullen get ignored. If not Mullen then why Not Wallace ( If he's from NSW) or Terry Campese, he has been playing great. Try somethin different.
My team would have been
1. Kurt Gidley (GK) ( I never liked Brett Stewart, he's to much of a hog, trying to score tries all the time for himself, not the team)
2. Jarrod Hayne
3. Matt KIng
4. Matt Cooper
5. Eric Grothe
6. Jarrod Mullen
7. Todd Carney ( I know he is just back playing, but he is a gun, will be a great player for years to come. )
8. Ben Cross
9. Danny Buderus (C)
10. Willie Mason ( I dont like him , but played well in Game 2 )
11. Paul Gallen
12. Nathan hindmarsh ( Last go )
13. Alan Tongue ( Give the guy a go, hes a freak , and he's from Tamworth :lol: )

15. Ryan Hoffman
16. Dane Tilse ( Been watching this Bloke, a big loss to Newcastle )
17. Michael Weyman ( would add a bit of agro to the team)

18th man, if he'd had more game time Mitchell Sargent, he played great last night, He will only get better!

I dont think that team would have any less chance of winning, and would give some young players experience before next years series.
